Re: Europa League seedings
Basically apart from who is seeded none of us know how the hell Uefa are going to do the draw! It seems as though they've taken geography into account the last few years, certainly in the early rounds but there's nothing official in the rules about it. Anyway in only 3 weeks time we'll have been put out of our misery, and we'll be able to start making plans!

No we won't, as we won't know our opponents until the completion of the 1st Round on 19th July. And there's a small chance we'll get drawn against a team who is entering in the 2nd round like us!

Please could someone tell me what time the draw on the 19th is at or has this information not been released yet? I've had a Google but can't find owt.
Re: Europa League seedings
Just read this -
Second qualifying round
The second qualifying round is split into two separate sections: Champions Path (for league champions) and Main Path (for cup winners and league non-champions).
The draw for the second qualifying round will be held on 19 June 2018 (after the completion of the first qualifying round draw). The first legs will be played on 26 July, and the second legs will be played on 2 August 2018.
A total of 93 teams are expected to play in the second qualifying round:
Champions Path
The 16 losers of the 2018–19 UEFA Champions League first qualifying round (seeded), and the three losers of the 2018–19 UEFA Champions League preliminary round (unseeded). One of the seeded teams will receive a bye to the third qualifying round, with how this is decided yet to be confirmed by UEFA.
Main Path
27 teams enter in this round, and 47 winners of the first qualifying round.

By my reakoning that comes to 92 teams not 93???

Not sure that a seeded team can be drawn against another seeded team? But who knows! Re: Europa League seedings
This is what the Regulations are regarding ticketing -
Article 36 Ticketing
36.01 Home clubs must make at least 5% of the total approved UEFA capacity of their stadium available exclusively to visiting supporters, in a segregated, safe area. In addition, visiting clubs are entitled to purchase 200 top-category tickets for their VIP supporters, sponsors, etc., but they are not obliged to take the full allocation (see Articles 16 and 23 of the UEFA Stadium Infrastructure Regulations and Article 19 of the UEFA Safety and Security Regulations).
36.02 Visiting clubs which have requested an allocation of tickets for the whole or part of the segregated area may return any unused tickets to the home club without payment up to seven days prior to the match. After this deadline the visiting club must pay for the whole allocation, irrespective of whether all the tickets have been sold.
36.03 The home club may reallocate tickets returned or not requested by the visiting club provided that all safety and security measures (as mentioned in the UEFA Safety and Security Regulations) are respected and that such tickets are not reallocated to supporters of the visiting club.
36.04 The official UEFA representatives and at least 20 representatives of the visiting club and its association must be provided with complimentary top-category seats (and associated hospitality) in the VIP sector.
36.05 All visiting team ticket allocations and ticketing arrangements may be altered by written agreement between the two clubs concerned.
36.05 seems to make all the previous regulations irrelevant!

Re: Europa League seedings
There are 47 1st round winners and there are 27 new clubs entering at the 2nd round stage. The 2nd round ties are ranked/seeded and drawn on the assumption that the higher co-efficient team will win through from round 1 in each tie. Some of the 27 clubs entering at this stage will have insufficient co-efficient to be seeded. All seedings are based on the ranking of the higher of either a team's earned UEFA co-efficient or 20% of the earned national co-efficient, which is why we start with 15.297 instead of the 0.000 which would be BFC's earned co-efficient.Leisure wrote:47 unseeded teams will be in the 2nd round after winning their 1st Round games. The 19 teams that form the Champions path group are separately seeded before they are drawn against each other (1 gets drawn a bye to R3)

Pretty much all sides have qualified now, and they will probably rank the seeds and non-seeds, so you can see who is “opposite” us on the attached link to guess who we may get.
My total guess is Pavlodar (Kazakhstan), Split and Bucharest in Q2, Q3 and Q4. Crikey.

I think that seeded teams at the end of the draw may possibly be able to be drawn against each other.
But they seem to change their minds each week.

Re: Europa League seedings
Each team is placed on the 'seeding' list according to their co-efficient. We will be seed 12 for the 2nd round draw as it assumes the higher co-efficient team will win through their 1st round tie. The 37 highest co-efficient teams will be seeded to be drawn against the lowest 37 co-efficient teams. Same principle will apply to the draws for the 3rd round and the knockout round. 'Champions Path' teams have their own seedings and drawLeisure wrote:Does anyone know if in the 2nd Round draw seeded teams can be drawn against each other?

Over the past few years our results have mirrored the results of SC Freiburg (Germany). In 2016-2017 they finished 7th. in the Bundesliga and qualified for the Europa League. They beat NK Domzale (Slovenia) 1-0 at home on Thursday 27 July but lost 0-2 away on Thursday 03 August so were out of Europe before the season started. Last year SC Freiburg just about avoided relegation from the Bundesliga, finishing 15th. in the table.

Re: Europa League seedings
For the Rules and Regulations to run to over 100 pages it's some achievement for it to then be impossible to work out just what 'seeding' means! Especially when the rules go into such minute detail as to where TV cameras have to be on grounds, details on commercial rights, media etc.
