We've lost, but I still want a respectable second half. As said above, ring the changes. Cork and Jay need to come on for a kick off.
Not having that we’ve lost. Get those 2 on and Dervisoglu and play 4-2-2-2.

VK showed his naivety with the team selection today.

Really, really poor.
No doubt about it that he’s continually making mistakes playing Barnes.

Robert’s off, Vits at right back, McNally CB, Taylor LB. Halil for Barnes.

Changes required at half time. Too many performing under par and the defence looks really nervous

Tella down the middle, cork on for Barnes. The best bfc is with Vitinho at rb maatsen lb Bayer and THB in the middle. This defence is all over the place.

I'd be tempted to use all 5 subs at half time, it would be a toss up who to bring off though.

Another flat performance, played like a training exercise, zero tempo, zero anything going forward. We got away with it a few times this season because we simply have way better players than other teams, today we're getting exactly what we deserve. Where is the tempo to our play? the high press? everything is just so slow and ponderous.

A midfield full of lightweight midgets was always going to struggle against any half decent sides in this division

A reality check

Well that was a hard watch on the stream. The only reason Sunderland are winning this is that they seem to want it more, which is unforgivable.

JBG off
Barnes off

Cork on
Jay Rod on

At the very least

Watching on a stream and we look so disjointed, with a distinct lack of quality throughout the team. Suspect the unbeaten run makes players think we are unbeatable. Crying out for changes-JBG and Barnes need to go from start of second half. Sadly when we play like this it emphasises the short comings of certain players. Taylor is not a centre half-we are losing and 70% of his passes are backwards. He is the obvious LB as Vitinho does not challenge attackers. We may need to risk Jay for 30 minutes and bring Bastian on for JBG

Our build up play is ok if it's 0.0 but we are chasing the game at 2.0 and it's pedestrian to say the least . I don't mind losing but roll your sleeves up and show some fight .

Considering how bad we've been defensively for the goals especially, singling out Barnes as our worst player by far seems extremely harsh

But it is entirely fair. He has been that bad. Zero contribution whatsoever

I’d prefer us to play our strongest eleven, regardless of the opposition.

Plus, weren’t we told we were only going to improve as the season progressed? That half was as bad as anything.

Wish I'd stayed home. That was pitiful, and inept.
We struggle to keep the ball on the deck.
Everytime we knock it long we give the ball away.
Tella wasting his time on the wing.
Charlie Taylor can't pass to save his life.
Get caught short at the back post whenever a team breaks on us.
JBG in the middle just doesn't work.
Ash Barnes, why........

When we do shoot it's 5ft over the bar.

Trying to run through players, instead of round them.

Our performance has only been slightly better than the referee's, who has been a real homer, but that isn't why we are getting beat, it's because we have been clueless.

We have a lot of talent on the pitch, but we don't have a lot of brains. Without Jack we look lost, rudderless, we need someone with nous in January.

Don't understand how muric is becoming a scapegoat? The entire team have been terrible. The changes have got rid of all of our balance and we need a huge second half. I'm still confident we can draw this but need vk to make the right decisions now.

Ok it was bad but still 45 mins to go , now get a goal and it could change things .

Sunderland have done well scored twice and are happy to sit back and let us pass around the ball in our own 3rd of the pitch .

Think positive .

Very poor all over the pitch today.

We need the defence that played against Swansea. Taylor seems to disjoint our build up play. When he receives the ball he still doesn't know what he is going to do with it. Beyer is so much better with his thinking and scanning of the play and is much more fluid when coming out of defence. With our new style of play this is needed. I would also play a midfielder instead of Barnes. He is holding nothing when passed the ball and just constantly loses the ball. He doesn't bring anyone into play. I think he made 1 successful pass whole half and i cannot remember him keeping possession apart from the 1 pass

Just seen the goals (about 10 times for each one) - for the first their guy collects ball from the throw and 3 of our defenders try (and fail miserably) to tackle him. As with a lot of the goals we have conceded we get dragged out of possession. Second goal - we are out in trouble by the long ball over the top - but why did Muric not come for it ? Definitely round pegs in square holes today.

Second. I refer you to my original post, which you decided was entirely rubbish.
