Sounds like who we fans have been crying out for, for a long time.
Sammy Todd, Sam Vokes, it's a good name, have any Sams ever let us down.
Welcome Samuel, and I hope you love your time with the Clarets.

Approx £650k fee rumoured, could have a bargain on our hands here if he can find his form from a couple of seasons ago (according to Liege fans).

That Twitter unveil is nice for the kiddies but I’ll stick to CT’s articles

Meh, call me old fashioned but I’m happy to just see a picture of a player sat at a table signing a contract with the chairman and manager looming over him.

Re: Transfer Rumours Thread - NO FINANCIAL DISCUSSION
I like both tbh, thing is we need a young generation of fans to get on the turf and this is a good way to get them interested imho. You can see the Twitter following growing and the interactions are seemingly up - growing the brand is keySalisburyClaret wrote: ↑Tue Jul 05, 2022 4:05 pmThat Twitter unveil is nice for the kiddies but I’ll stick to CT’s articles

The social media was really poor for interactions and generating interest prior to the takeover.
This announcement is one of the best I've seen across English football, not just Burnley, it's completely out of the box thinking, getting the right attention etc.

I've never really seen a player interact with fans on twitter much, let's just say he's loving the welcome he's getting !

Re: Transfer Rumours Thread - NO FINANCIAL DISCUSSION
Surely if he’d have come he would have been committed. It’s only the fact that he hasn’t come that defines him as uncommitted.
It’s what’s known as a circular argument. Or is it a red herring? Or it’s a straw man, or an elephant in the room or something…

Get a class striker in now and it's a perfect window.

I reckon keeper next to replace Hennessey, then both winger / attacking midfielder depth like Knight and a striker - as the Muleka deal broke down.

Quality striker is now essential, plus keeping the likes of Collins.

I wonder what Bob Lord would say.
Re: Transfer Rumours Thread - NO FINANCIAL DISCUSSION
If Hennessey leaves then that's 9 out and 5 in so far (with others maybe leaving)
Still need:
Striker x2
CM/AM
Left Back
Goalkeeper
Re: Transfer Rumours Thread - NO FINANCIAL DISCUSSION
GK, quality striker, right midfield. 3 positions needing quality.
Re: Transfer Rumours Thread - NO FINANCIAL DISCUSSION
I am sure I just saw something on twitter with Harker as the new no. 9. Went back through and can't find it now.

That Question mark in midfield is incorrect. It should read "Helm "

Cullen
Knight
Muric
Striker.
Knight
Muric
Striker.
Re: Transfer Rumours Thread - NO FINANCIAL DISCUSSION
That would be ideal
Re: Transfer Rumours Thread - NO FINANCIAL DISCUSSION
We've got Westwood, Cork, Brownhill, Bastien. Not sure why we'd need another 2 central midfielders. We don't have anyone for right midfield, I'm not even counting JBG.
Re: Transfer Rumours Thread - NO FINANCIAL DISCUSSION
Dwight played his best football on the right last season. Him and Roberts were very good together. He would also suit Kompany’s inside 10 perfectly. I noted he played in that position in the Rochdale friendly.
Also Westwood, surely we won’t see him till the New Year?

Re: Transfer Rumours Thread - NO FINANCIAL DISCUSSION
As I said it's a good tweet. The number of views is fairly meaningless as you don't know if they're using Ads or Amplify but it shows good engagement with a younger audience

Toffolo from Huddersfield would be a great signing available for 2.5 million.

Re: Transfer Rumours Thread - NO FINANCIAL DISCUSSION
I think we still need:
Keeper (assuming Hennessey is sold)
Winger/Attacking Mid (Left/Right an irrelevance these days, this is assuming Cornet is sold)
Striker (possibly two if Vydra isn’t re-signing and Kompany doesn’t like the looks enough of any of the young ones).
Certainly still work to do, and this can be extended further if we sell more players. Whilst I appreciate that we are (probably) pretty broke, we also need to be spending ‘proper’ dough on the striker. We will not get enough goals from Barnes and Jay alone.

Re: Transfer Rumours Thread - NO FINANCIAL DISCUSSION
No loan fee for Wout, just covering his wages. No option or obligation to buy mentioned either. Can’t see how that’s a good deal at all as they’ll obviously not buy him after the loan.

I noticed that. Seems like it’s just a way to get his wages off the books for a season. Perhaps Kompany wants him for the prem if we go up?
