Re: Transfer Rumours Thread - NO FINANCIAL DISCUSSION
Muric is an international keeper with time on his side to further develop. Deemed good enough to be recalled from his loan in 2018/19 to be 2nd choice.
A first-team debut in September’s 3-0 Carabao Cup win over Oxford United, and he proved to be the hero in the quarter-final penalty shootout victory over Leicester City.
The 20-year-old kept four clean sheets as City reached the final, where he provided backup for Ederson, a role he continued to fulfil for the remainder of the season.
His record last season was conceding an average of 1.17 goals per 90 mins. Pope average was 1.25 ( yes in a tougher league)
He is 6ft 6, with good reflexes and good with his feet. The only negatives are views of Forest fans from 3 years ago and gauged over only 5 games..
Let's be honest when Pope signed from Charlton did anyone believe he was going to end up playing for England.
VK rates Muric so that's good enough for me.

Bearing in mind he might be signing for us it might be fairer to say it was more of a gentle forward movement of the head and that the opposition player massively overreacted.eastcoastclaret wrote: ↑Tue Jul 05, 2022 11:49 amOh dear, a goalkeeper who headbutted a player in front of the ref, is probably not what we need.

I find the jackson muleka rumour a strange one, were we really in for him, if rumour's are true about him signing for Besiktas in the next 24hrs and his contract is only 14k a week building up to around 18k a week in a few year's time then wages wasn't an issue and a work permit wouldn't be an issue, so was it fake news

I have to say it makes me a tad nervous bringing in someone new, having had top quality composed keepers for the best part of ten years - how lucky we've been.eastcoastclaret wrote: ↑Tue Jul 05, 2022 11:49 amOh dear, a goalkeeper who headbutted a player in front of the ref, is probably not what we need.
Thinking back to the palace game when Pope came on as sub, and the support he got from the fans in that and the following games. I do wonder whether his stint with us would have been so successful had we not been so supportive of him in those early games in Heaton's absence.
For a few years now our fans seem to have had our keepers' backs (it helps when they deliver quality performances of course). But I think continuing this with Muric or whoever else ends up as our new no.1 could be really beneficial to our season.

Hourihane signing for Derby. Maybe that frees up Knight.

Depends what you read. I’ve read all sorts of things ranging from we could agree a package with him, player wasn’t interested in championship football, work permit problems.ClaretMov wrote: ↑Tue Jul 05, 2022 12:04 pmI find the jackson muleka rumour a strange one, were we really in for him, if rumour's are true about him signing for Besiktas in the next 24hrs and his contract is only 14k a week building up to around 18k a week in a few year's time then wages wasn't an issue and a work permit wouldn't be an issue, so was it fake news
I would just put it down to we could come to an agreement for the player to join (probably a mixture of all the above).

Not a direct transfer rumour but is there anything deeper in Collins and Roberts not at training this week?

To be fair Muric is only 23 years old.ArmchairDetective wrote: ↑Tue Jul 05, 2022 12:12 pmI have to say it makes me a tad nervous bringing in someone new, having had top quality composed keepers for the best part of ten years - how lucky we've been.

Tom Heaton was on loan at Rochdale and Nick Pope on loan with Bury at the same age.

Re: Transfer Rumours Thread - NO FINANCIAL DISCUSSION
If Muric comes in as No1, BPF isn't going to want to be on the bench all season. Potentially we could be looking at an entirely new goalkeeping dept.
Re: Transfer Rumours Thread - NO FINANCIAL DISCUSSION
Re. Muleka. Not a clue what's going on but unless the bloke is totally committed to coming to TM then we're best off without him.

But didn't he say Collins had a release clause?
If so you'd think that would have been mentioned in other media outlets when discussing the interest a number of clubs have shown in Nathan Collins.
Re: Transfer Rumours Thread - NO FINANCIAL DISCUSSION
You’d think so. Didn’t he break the news that we were signing Collins?

Sorry if this has been posted previously.
An interview with Muric when he was at Citeh.
24secs in the sub-titles say, “I moved to Switzerland when I was 3, Mum came when she was 15….”. I think that has been lost in translation, I hope so anyway.

Really hope we get Muric. A 6’6” keeper would be brilliant - always thought Pope was a bit too short

That was barely a tickle and nothing compared to what Mr Barton got up to on and off the field and he was a game-changer signing for us...Christ!!! He'll get more red cards than games!

I haven’t seen any footage of him claiming crosses but you’d assume it helps.
I think he looks very Pope-esque in how he makes saves in the videos. Very good reactions, but with good feet apparently and a penalty expert.

Looks good with ball at feet and for penalties.
Looks very agile for a big keeper too.
Seen videos where he has kicked balls 20-50 yards with accuracy so thats all good
