Has anyone checked that Ringo is ok btw?

Of course it did, if you offer kids free everything, they are going to take it because they do not know any better. They don't know how it will affect them in 10 years time, they just see a free 3 years on the **** paid for by the government, who's gonna turn that down at 18, 19, 20?Lancasterclaret wrote:Think tacitical voting played a part, but if had been significant, the cons would have been in real trouble.
Young vote came out big for Lab, and Scotland was, well, just weird.
The thing is though, the result for Brexit was a divided country - almost 50/50.Damo wrote:Must be a great feeling, lauding it over the Brexiteers this morning after your massive win
And I suspect that sort of generalisation is something else that pushed them towards Labour.ClaretMoffitt wrote:Of course it did, if you offer kids free everything, they are going to take it because they do not know any better. I'm just gonna put my feet up, and watch the chaos ensue.
Precisely! Last night is part of the chaos ensuing from the referendum. At least there should now be a chance of a softer Brexit rather than the absolute car crash May was leading us to.JohnMcGreal wrote:You're 12 months late pal.
Jesus, you lot really are not taking this well. Those young people's views can't be ignored despite their nativity and inexperience
Funny that, because we have had absolutely nothing of a sort.JohnMcGreal wrote:You're 12 months late pal.
You can't just say that as though it has some kind of ironic meaning regarding the brexit reaction.Lancasterclaret wrote:Jesus, you lot really are not taking this well.
I've been resisting this all night
But you've lost, get over it
I dunno, you're throwing a wobbler at the minute.ClaretMoffitt wrote:You can't just say that as though it has some kind of ironic meaning regarding the brexit reaction.
There were weeks of protests, and absolute social media/public figure meltdowns from the left after that. There will be none of that what so ever in this instance.
Hardly.Dom wrote:I dunno, you're throwing a wobbler at the minute.
Tories have to remain in power, the other coalition options are far too shaky to be seen as viable. But we might get a Brexit deal that works for the majority now, no hardline Brexit.CrosspoolClarets wrote:Like many I have a dilemma now. I voted Corbyn tactically to get the treacherous Clegg out, which worked. Good riddance. Shame you don't get that gold plated EU pension you crave for.
If Corbyn got in though we were all set to leave the country to avoid the economic chaos and robbing of our life savings (inevitable, especially when the economy tanks). I have a conference call with an overseas jurisdiction later this morning where I was contingency planning to negotiate residency (challenging after 2 hours sleep!). At the moment we are in limbo, if I was guessing we'll stay and see how it pans out, I think Tories got just enough seats to stop him.
We weren't concerned last time, we found it hilarious.ClaretMoffitt wrote:Pound plummeted in value, wonder if all those lefties who were so upset over it plummeting when we voted Brexit will be equally and concerned upset now...

Drama queenery of the highest order and not only that but total bullsh*t. People haven't denied anything, they want more police, they want us to stop trading with terrorist harbouring countries and they want to stop meddling in foreign affairs, all of which would help us reduce terrorist incidents.ClaretMoffitt wrote:Hardly.
I gave up hope for this country when it reacted to 3 terror attacks in 3 months with deeper denial disguised as "love and togetherness". That to me signaled we were now a nation of sheep, not lions.
They voted for more immigration, they voted for a man that has spent his entire political life defending terrorists, they voted for a man who wants to dismantle our armed forces. You think having more police will help if we do as Germany did and take in 1 million african/eastern migrants in a year?Dom wrote:Drama queenery of the highest order and not only that but total bullsh*t. Stop your lying narrative that flies in the face of facts.
Yep, cowards who would give in to the terrorists instead of defend democracy.ClaretMoffitt wrote:Nah i'm not fussed.

I'm not sure who has lost or what we all stand for. I'm for a full but not hard Brexit, but against most things in Mays manifesto. Similarly I was against most things in Corbyn's manifesto too, but one or two things were attractive.Lancasterclaret wrote:But you've lost, get over it

(obviously that won't happen now, but could under a Labour government)
No, but only because it isn't anything near as big a drop as after the referendum. I rate it mildly amusing.ClaretMoffitt wrote:Do you find it hilarious now?

Its the religion and cultural attitudes that come with them.

Quite possibly, but I'm still not sure what hardline means. There are hundreds of issues on the table with Brexit, we only focus on the three or four high profile ones like SM and FOM.Dom wrote:Tories have to remain in power, the other coalition options are far too shaky to be seen as viable. Perfect.
This is exactly the sort of shite that politicians should be brought to task over. It shows contempt for the voters and accepts no responsibility.Dom wrote:Arrogant Tory attitude showing the reason why they failed in their target so badly.
