I remember we signed Eagles from Man Utd just after he had scored in a pre-season tournament I think in the USA. So you never know!Jakubs Tash wrote: ↑Mon Aug 04, 2025 4:06 pmMount would be insane…but I think he’s levels above us still unfortunately and if he left Man Utd would end up at a better team than Burnley.
There are some good creative footballers out there though and we still have room for one of those imo.

The sarcasm may have gone over my head but Mount's got 160 PL appearances and 36 England caps. Love the optimism though!Alanstevensonsgloves wrote: ↑Mon Aug 04, 2025 6:48 pmI remember we signed Eagles from Man Utd just after he had scored in a pre-season tournament I think in the USA. Any updates on the signings?
Are they imminent announcements?
Both very exciting signings.
Any updates on the keeper? I have a feeling it'll be Johnstone that we sign.

I didn’t think that any one of Broja, Ugochukwu or Dubravka had been confirmed yet. Do update me anyone if I’m wrong.

Probably nothing at all in this but I have heard a rumour that we may be in with a shout of signing Kobbie Mainoo on loan.

Rumour is we’re trying to negotiate with Chelsea for a buy one, get the second at half price for Broja and Ugochukwu. We have a coupon and are using our Air Miles rewards as wellburnley007 wrote: ↑Mon Aug 04, 2025 7:45 pmAny updates on the signings?

Just a few clubs ahead of Burnley in that particular queue Chelsea, Juventus, Inter Milan, Aston Villa, Bayern Munich and PSG among themCrookedbillet wrote: ↑Mon Aug 04, 2025 8:18 pmProbably nothing at all in this but I have heard a rumour that we may be in with a shout of signing Kobbie Mainoo on loan.

He'd have to move house for them though, clearly Burnley would be more tempting for that lad!kentonclaret wrote: ↑Mon Aug 04, 2025 8:39 pmJust a few clubs ahead of Burnley in that particular queue Chelsea, Juventus, Inter Milan, Aston Villa, Bayern Munich and PSG among them![]()

It has ruined a few careers that pressure.

Mainoo

Re: Summer transfer window
Sure i read somewhere the other day that Amorim is expecting big things from Mainoo this year. No way we're getting him or Mount.

Re: Summer transfer window
I’d be very surprised after dubravka, Lesley and broja if we spent anymore money in the window.
We will be looking at free agents, loans and maybe loans with opinions or obligations for we stay up.
Wouldn’t be surprised to still see vardy sign for us

Strange one. Had a great Euros for England. Game didn’t appear to go backwards but Amorim has never taken to him. Even though he has come on as sub and bailed them out a few times.Vegas Claret wrote: ↑Mon Aug 04, 2025 8:48 pmNowt to do with the link but Mainoo has seriously lost his way, he needs a loan move somewhere.

People need to spend less time making up utter drivel to post on here and more time learning how to spell and pronounce our players' names because, let's be honest, that's going to be an absolute sh1tshow this season.
