No interest in Eriksen according to the Burnley Way on X.

This year we will need to pick them off to secure safety.
Clear now?

Re: Summer transfer window
Have Chelsea become our new feeder club?
We've given them well over £50m so far this summer...WOW

Re: Summer transfer window
Could be worse clubs to have as a feeder couldn't there. They buy lots of young talent

Re: Summer transfer window
We certainly needed a physical presence in central midfield so happy with this one.
And I think our wide men will benefit greatly from him.

Not a bad strategy given they both identify good players and waste money and talent constantlyburnley007 wrote: ↑Thu Aug 07, 2025 9:16 amHave Chelsea become our new feeder club?

Re: Summer transfer window
Just read this on an online 'sports news' page. This has to be the worst piece of 'journalism' I have ever read.
'Most Burnley fans would have preferred Trafford to stay and continue developing, but that ship sailed the moment City exercised their buy-back option. The hope now rests on Dubravka staying fit and steadying what was a shaky defensive setup last season.'

Re: Summer transfer window
If there are additional add ons he normally says so clearly a typo. No idea on fees but I imagine he is getting his info from the Chelsea end and the fees quoted are top line if all clauses are met. I imagine we have paid significantly less as we speak and assuming that the biggest clause would be based on staying up if we don’t stay up the final figure will get no where near that. If we do stay up it will have been worth it though.

It’s only because of our record breaking forward line we managed to get too 100 points!burnley007 wrote: ↑Thu Aug 07, 2025 10:20 amJust read this on an online 'sports news' page. This has to be the worst piece of 'journalism' I have ever read.

Re: Summer transfer window
Which journalist wrote that? It is clear that most Burnley fans would hope he would stay, but it was also clear that he wasn’t staying so I imagine there was no ship to sail at all. Shaky defence? just wow!burnley007 wrote: ↑Thu Aug 07, 2025 10:20 amJust read this on an online 'sports news' page. This has to be the worst piece of 'journalism' I have ever read.

Re: Summer transfer window
The last nonsense about a shaky defence must have been AI generated. Either that or by some journalist on the usual anti- Burnley agenda loved by the gutter press.
