Well I’m glad of the City move. Got a wedding on Saturday.

Our trains are booked Friday to Monday, we get back into Piccadilly just after 7pm.

Probably be delayed and miss the game due to still being on the train

I spotted the asterisk after it, on sky, but thought they might move the time not the day.
You never know it might be the result that keeps us up. That’ll be some reception.

No trains to Euston that weekend either, not that you could get a train back after the match anyway.

Burnley have said it will be moved back to Saturday if city are playing in Europe on the Tuesday after.

It’s not that one which is ridiculous though, it’s the Chelsea one.

I am sure we don't budget for the extra monies available for appearances above 10 in a season (11 next season by the way under the new deal where even more games will be on TV with 4 matches guaranteed - all matches those "rounds" to be shown live). This announcement takes us to 9 for the season, but have we ever had 3 on the bounce, 4 in 6 or 6 in 11 like the run we are currently in.

That's exactly what it says at the link at the top of the thread - and you are absolutely right, the Chelsea one is the ridiculous one.

Sigh. No way I can get to the Chelsea game now. Very frustrating.

When would the last time have been that the title wasn’t won with a game live on TV?

Which is in itself an improvement - though we could lose the city game - didn't something similar happen in the recent past

I think even if City is moved they will try and keep on tv - either by switching with Spurs game if that moves from 12.30 Saturday, or having as a late Saturday night live game (7.45pm)

TBH, the City one is even more ridiculous than the Chelsea one because as they announce the date/time with one breath they immediately say it could still change yet again which is somewhat bizarre.

At least I can book flights for my old man and I for Bournemouth away. £120 each for a same day return.

08:40 flight out of Manchester and 20:20 flight back from Southampton.

Thinking about booking flights for Bournemouth as well. Still look fairly reasonable but would be coming back on Sunday. Have you done the trip before? How close is Southampton airport to the city centre?

I think its good they are warning people about that chance. They hadn't in the past.

I think it’s around an hour on the train. Train station is next to the airport.

You come straight out the airport at Southampton and catch a train to Bournemouth. Doesn't take long, as mentioned and would suggest it's less than an hour? but can't remember.

It's very straight forward.

09:36 to Bournemouth takes 57 mins
09:56 to Bournemouth takes 41 mins

18:15 to Southampton Airport Parkway takes 1 hour 4 mins
18:22 to Southampton Airport Parkway takes 45 mins
