It's heartening to hear of your support for the Foodbank but little other Boxing Day joy!

Tony, that is exactly how I saw the Pickford incident and the following free kick because there did not seem to be any infringement at all.

At the risk of being accused of sycophancy, can I thank you for all the match reports you produce. As I am now rather old and flacky and it is highly unlikely I will get to Turf Moor again given I live south of London, I thoroughly enjoy your reports. So all the best for the New Year and keep on producing the match reports.

There are far more important things than football and it is a crime in today’s world and in this country that people are starving. I was so proud to be able to make a donation yesterday from Up the Clarets. Dave (Everton) and Ian (Liverpool) are an inspiration. And our club and community could learn from those two clubs who support the collections superbly.

Couldn’t see any other explanation. Whether he did or didn’t carry the ball out, Scott Ledger could do no more than guess.

I really appreciate your thanks.

If the second half of the season turns out like last season, after the Boxing Day loss to Everton, I'll take it.

I'm sure we will - 52 points from the last 38 Premier League games which is an incredible return to be honest given we'd 12 points from the previous 19.

Another incident in the game that I thought very strange was Taylor blowing for half time before the corner could be taken. Can't say Ive seen that for a long while. Again think he did because he got the original decision wrong. I just wonder whether he'd have done the same if it had been Everton.

Most likely if they’d taken as long as we did to take it. The minute was up and we were sauntering over without a care in the world. Our own fault and I’d hope Dyche gave them a rocket as it was a big opportunity to score a goal at a crucial time.

I’ve posted it on the thread about the incident. The ball went out at 45 mins 34 secs and Taylor blew for half time bang on 46 mins.

Sorry, only just seen the lack of half time corner had a thread of it's own.
