Great to see Jack Cork finally back in action, however he will need a few U23 outings before he can be considered for the 1st team squad yet.

Mumbongo finding the net again he appears a prospect.

If it stays like this we'll move up 5 places to 8th and only 2 points off 2nd and 5 off the top.

Do we have an option to buy Mancini? I've heard a lot of good things about him

Finished 3-1 but more importantly.

45 minutes for Jack Cork
75 minutes for Dale Stephens
90 minutes for Phil Bardsley

Our squad is almost back to full strength now, and it's showing in the upturn in results.

I think it was announced as a loan to become permanent, not sure a fee was mentioned but it seems a done deal (if he impresses).

He signed for us in September.

Didn't Mancini travel with the first team squad to Arsenal ? i'm sure one of the journalists (Alex James) or the guy from the Athletic said so.

Yes, we’ve certainly been missing Dale Stephens.

When they're all fully fit some fans will be moaning that we have too many players for the bench! πŸ˜‰

I read that he'd signed on loan with a view to a permanent deal with that deal valued at €3m.

Whether we've been missing him or not, I'm sure SD would rather have him available than not, and whether he plays or not we'll still be paying his wages, so I'd prefer it if he was at least an option for the gaffer to utilise, although in his absence Benson may have usurped him in the pecking order.

Yes I believe that is the case.
The discussions at the time were if we are spending 3m on an U23 player the view must be that he will be good enough for the first time eventually.

From the limited footage I have seen of him he looks a talent. Good touch, dribbling ability and passing. Very different to the type of player we have in the first team. Technically very good, to be seen if he can hack the English game physically

With 10 games already scheduled (and possibly 2 more) in the next 45 days before the end of January, we need as many fit players as possible.
As players get fit, others may get injured or even suspended.....

Don't think the club put any value out but you wouldn't expect them to. I've seen both Β£2m & €3m in reports.

All the teams in that division are much of a muchness it appears. Just 7 points separate top from bottom, with only 3 points between the bottom team and the play off positions!
