Let's hope our lads can push on against the young Mackems who are 12th although they have played just ten games.

I'm guessing Sunderland are no great shakes at this level, but even so any 4-0 win has to be seen in a good light.

They seemed very good at producing youngsters in the first series of their Netflix drama.

I think they cut costs since.

George Walters on the bench. His dad Steve didn't play for us but played 146 league games for Crewe up to 1995 so will have played against us. Sadly dropped into non-league football having been one of Bennell's boys at Crewe and one brave enough to speak out.

They aren't any great shakes now and went a long time, over two years, without winning a game, but any win has to be seen in a good light, even a good stadium of light and this was a very young team.

I won't start another thread but a few words here.

Is FInlay Armstrong now playing as a centre half?

I think its Moonan that I've seen before and been impressed with. Is he a small central midfielder? Looked very composed and tidy.

Was at left back yesterday - Dan Sassi & Benn Ward were the central defenders.

Been with us since 2011 according to the club which fits in with that although it doesn't say where he's from.

That makes sense then, I’ve seen him play quite a few times and he always played as a full back.

He was fifth or sixth name on the lineup in the report so I thought he might have moved to a more central role based on that.
