From the Leeds website -
Mark Jackson’s Under 23s side play their final match of the campaign at home to Burnley on Monday afternoon, at Thorp Arch.
The Whites are already champions of Premier League 2 Division 2 and will now be looking to end their season with a win, against play-off hopefuls Burnley.
To achieve an 18th league win of such a memorable year, Leeds will need to overcome a tough Clarets side who currently occupy fifth position in the table.
The table is so close, that going into the final day, only Stoke City in second have secured their play-off spot. Everything is up for grabs in the chasing pack below them as the teams look to gain promotion along with Jackson’s side.
When the two sides met in Lancashire back in January, Leeds were comfortable 4-1 winners. Sam Greenwood and a Crysencio Summerville hat-trick won the points that day.
Max Thompson is the top-scorer for Burnley, with nine. The forward is a constant threat and was rewarded for his efforts with a Premier League debut against Manchester City, this season.
Like his teammate, Joel Mumbongo is another youngster that has had first team action after impressing in the Under-23s. He has eight goals thus far, so will want to get ahead of his fellow forward before the season ends.
Joe Gelhardt and Sam Greenwood’s impressive goal-scoring season will run to the final day to see who can come out on top. Gelhardt leads the way on 11, with Greenwood joining him on double figures last-time out, reaching 10.
Kick-off is at 1pm at Thorp Arch and you can follow the game, right here.

The Premier League are showing us having only nine players, not even showing us as having trialists.

Burton is with Aston Villa. Presumably he's one of the trialists. Spencer- Adams from Watford the other.

finished the half quite well really.
Lewis threatened.
A little bitty in places, but it's a good game to watch. Such a difference not seeing players dropping, howling then clutching the wrong bits when they're tackled.

Leeds are a very strong, quick side.
We will do well to get anything out of this, but you never know.

Think we should do this more often with players returning from injury.
Benefits the player to get game time and the younger kids to play with more experienced players.

Agree. Look a much stronger side. Some of our play has been sloppy at times which is frustrating in such an important game.
Their goal was easily avoidable too.

Leeds player booked for not wanting/allowing their designated penalty taker to take the pen and wanting to take it himself!

Keeper made a mess of things. But one of the Leeds forwards was booked for delaying the penalty because he wanted to take it himself - he wouldn't leave the area even when his captain told him to.
No idea why his manager hasn't subbed him and given him a teddy bear to play with by now.

Possibly playing 2 trialists in the back 4 hasn't helped.

The problem here is that if Sunderland pick up just one point from their last two games it will be down to goal difference and they were just one better than us before kick off.

I see the referee subscribes to the Premier League ethic of "if you want a free kick, just sit down and ask for one".

I watched a couple of the under 16s games recently. There was a guy playing for them who was absolutely head and shoulders above everyone else on the pitch in both games. Fast, powerful centre forward. Not sure of his name but I suspect he’ll probably do one season with the u18s and then go straight through to the u23s.

From what I've seen, right back has been a weak position for us with trialists being used there on several occasions.
Our best GK out on loan, unfortunately Richter is very poor off his line.
I wonder what's happened to Jake Rooney at CB?

I was disappointed generally today. Keeper was poor, as you say, whole of defence looked shaky and the midfield sloppy with a lot of their passing in decent positions. Didn’t see a single player capable of making an impression on the first team on that showing.
Think we’ve likely blown the playoff hopes. Maybe the club don’t care with those selections but it does make you wonder why not? Surely being in the top division would help attract a better quality of young players and therefore solve the RB issue, etc.
Perhaps another season in this league is better for us in the long term though.

Out of the play-off places now after Sunderland's draw tonight against Stoke. A big loss in the reverse fixture next week to swing the goal difference would drop them below us again, so still a slim chance
