Hi all, regretfully this will be (slightly) delayed by an hour or so - blame the laptop for a poor job with the rendering.

I've only done snippets of this re work but what an enjoyable watch, so far. I don't know the lads who are doing it but superb listen. Blake comes over really well
Re: ARTICLE: Robbie’s having a Pie and a Pint
Robbie is a lot more articulate here than I gave him credit for.

Appreciate that! Glad you’re enjoying it. We’ve had a few other Clarets on and are trying our best to get more on.Rumbletonk wrote: ↑Tue May 25, 2021 2:56 pmI've only done snippets of this re work but what an enjoyable watch, so far. Re: ARTICLE: Robbie’s having a Pie and a Pint
That was cracking. Very fluent, insightful and funny. What really shines through is his genuine love for Burnley. He admits that he may have got a few things wrong and I was impressed with his candour. His description of the Coyle era makes total sense: essentially some very good players managed by a bluffer. I agree with him 100% that we would have stayed up if Coyle had stayed. Laws didn’t lose the dressing room; he simply never found it. The story about half time during the City game was hilarious. What a player Robbie was. Essential viewing!
Ps I thought his take on Cotterill being a very good manager (who potentially could have been even better) even though they didn’t get on was a very balanced assessment

Re: ARTICLE: Robbie’s having a Pie and a Pint
Robbie wears his heart on his sleeve, you could see it in his play and you can see it now when he talks about his career.
Very touching to hear him talk about how much Burnley meant to him. How much he wanted to win the crowd over.
His relationship with the fans was very much like Defour. If we can get some technicians into our team again it should add some real spark to the turf next season.

Amazingly, Iv'e just watched the Glen Little one again on YouTube. Undr The Cosh randomly popped up on youtube today> An absolutely cracking podcast, Glen is so funny . There is a Robbie Blake one as well, i'ts obvious he loves his time with us. But he might have had a few glasses of wine more than this podcast.
