Fair report as always. Really hope your last para is correct, we are desperate for a couple of signings and they need to be ones that can be in the starting 11 soon after signing.

An accurate representation. We do indeed require new players and sooner rather than later. Really pleased you made the game.

2 games into the season and we are already under big pressure. The only comfort is we still have Paces millions to spend

Good report as always Tony. As a sidenote, do you mind me asking why you didn't use the supporters coach?

A fair and balanced report-would agree , there were more positives than we could have expected.Hopefully we will pick up where we left off v Leeds who have conceded 7 goals in their two games

Walking back to Lime Street…..ouch!!
I thought about doing that for a second and decided it was definitely a bad idea!

Spot on CT……and whilst a defeat, thought we were in it for large parts and certainly an entertaining game. In addition to the scotland bit, the one about them having bought their scarves and should now go home was also met with a smile by the scousers (and non scousers). We also walked back into the city centre after and to say by 4pm, it was stag and hen do city is an understatement!!!!!!

I'd forgotten the one about the departing tourists with their scarves. By 4pm my weary feet had just departed Liverpool.Jimmymaccer wrote: ↑Mon Aug 23, 2021 6:56 pmSpot on CT……and whilst a defeat, thought we were in it for large parts and certainly an entertaining game. That was an enjoyable read despite the defeat, I can only imagine how social media would react in response to Churchill's comments today, there would probably be a Twitter meltdown.
Performances have by and large been decent for large parts of both games, we just need to be more clinical with our chances when they arrive, but it's far too early to be pessimistic about our prospects for the whole campaign, that said reinforcements can't come soon enough, our bench was terribly thin on Saturday.
And hopefully both Vydra and Westwood are available for the crunch game with Leeds, although Brownhill did impress at Anfield.
