Brilliant news. Witches hats off to the new Board for this. It is absolutely what we need, provided we don't sell Dwight.

Not a replacement at all, he has been doing stuff on "Clarets Player" for a long time now ... especially on "Turf More" alongside DB

And it's €15m rather than £15m according to Lyon who have posted the following on their website.
Olympique Lyonnais informs of the transfer of its Ivorian international, Maxwel Cornet, to the English club Burnley (Premier League) for an amount of € 15 million, of which 15% will be donated to FC Metz as part of the capital gain achieved by the 'OL on this operation.
Arrived at Olympique Lyonnais in January 2015 from FC Metz for an amount of € 400,000, Maxwel Cornet will have played 252 matches with OL, including 184 in Ligue 1, scoring 51 goals, including several decisive against Manchester City in the League of Champions.
Selected 21 times with the Ivorian national team (4 goals), the 24-year-old striker, who can also play as a left-back, is now one of the 30 most capped players in the club's history.

Brilliant! I liked his interview - seems a nice chap. His English is ok and will improve rapidly. Top 20 scorers in Lyons rich history. Our highest profile signing by a long way - 6 champions league goals in 20 odd games. Buzzing

Great signing. From what I can tell he's pacy, works hard and is a decent finisher - perfect for this team.
Presumably he'll start on the right but I wonder if he'll get a chance up front at some point. Barnes and JRod look done so maybe you could play him behind Wood.

It is the regular interviewer for studio interviews Pete Oliver, Darren Bentley mostly did the after match pitchside interviews.
This is excellent news, well done Mr Pace.

Looks to be a very good signing. Will make us less predictable. Now just need to strengthen CM and one of Jay Rod or Barnes and we should be looking good.

Really pleased with this. Big commitment signing a five year deal. Talk of language barrier and lack of interpreters at the club but speaks English so another secondary positive.

Fantastic player with the pace and skill we have been crying out for for years!
I have a feeling we will make a lot of profit after a few years too. Cannot wait to see him in action!

I have posted a few times on the Transfer Window Rumours thread to try and share what's been in the French press, most of which was negative. I have to say I was skeptical because this is so far from the type of player that we normally sign but if this is a sign of the intent of "President" Pace then this is clear proof that they want to take the club to the next level.
J’espère que tu ne lis pas ce site mais si c'est le cas bienvenue Maxwel.
