Jimmy mullen's, claret blue army, Mexican waves across the ground and the few Wrexham fans in a corner of the bob lord stand, if my memory is true.
Up the Clarets.

Rode home from Germany on my motorbike for this game.
Went in the sidewalk post game - fortunately the gunman had gone - and it was the best atmosphere i have ever experienced in Burnley after a game. Place was absolutely banging. "Jimmy Mullens Claret & Blue Army" was ringing out and the floor was bouncing. AWESOME!

Re: ARTICLE: Wrexham spoil Prizegiving Day at the Turf
The Wrexham player getting tripped up by the Burnley fan waiting to run on the pitch was hilarious.
I think that pretty much prompted the ref to blow for full time if memory serves me right.

Im sure I remember a Wrexham player running down the wing in the last few minutes of the game, with the crowd already on the touchline ready to run on, being tripped up by one of the crowd...

We got on as soon as the turnstiles opened on the Longside that day. There was no chance I was risking it selling out and being forced onto the Bee Hole end for this.
The atmosphere was electric from an hour before kick off and didn't even stop when we were losing

We went in the away half of the Longside for novelty value.Quickenthetempo wrote: ↑Mon May 02, 2022 7:45 pmWe got on as soon as the turnstiles opened on the Longside that day. There was no chance I was risking it selling out and being forced onto the Bee Hole end for this.

There was a lot of banter between the away section of home fans and the Longside that day.TheFamilyCat wrote: ↑Mon May 02, 2022 7:56 pmWe went in the away half of the Longside for novelty value.

Bob Lord with my nephew. He had me in there for about one o’clock.Quickenthetempo wrote: ↑Mon May 02, 2022 7:45 pmWe got on as soon as the turnstiles opened on the Longside that day. There was no chance I was risking it selling out and being forced onto the Bee Hole end for this.

Longside for me. My then wife had a pair of leggings made from the blue of the home shirt. Her Dad worked at Panaz where they printed the fabric and managed to get some to make leggings from. I wish I had a quid for the number of people who asked where they could buy a pair.

Absolutely, it was probably a full five minutes before the 90 when he ended it.TheFamilyCat wrote: ↑Mon May 02, 2022 7:14 pmThe Wrexham player getting tripped up by the Burnley fan waiting to run on the pitch was hilarious.

Joey Jones and other back room staff were wheeling the kit in in a great big basket on wheels. I asked if they’d brought the pies for the party and got a laugh from them

Lots of memories of this game, my second watching Burnley. I spent the whole afternoon on the front of the Longside with both of my feet right through the fencing.ClaretTony wrote: ↑Mon May 02, 2022 6:58 pmFinal home game of the 1991/92 season

Brilliant season, Rochdale away was fabulous, 5000 Clarets for a nothing game (for us) was insane
