The opening day is a Saturday and the championship from recollection has sensible scheduling meaning that long trips are listed primarily in warm weather and close trips are mainly for midweek.
Hence Sunderland is going to be midweek. We'll get something like Millwall, Watford or Qpr - probably away if it is Watford as that would be the biggest anticlimax.

A nice story to draw the attention to the league thst day, so think theyll go for a newly promoted side v a just relegated one so they can really build it up looking for an upset/story .
