I believe Maatsen played most of last season as quite an attacking wing back but also on the left wing and in midfield. Seems he quite versatile and could provide an option in the left of midfield too. So I don’t see this as a Taylor replacement, so to speak. Clearly a very talented player and one I’m looking forward to seeing.

We certainly needed cover at left back and this signing seems to tick a number of boxes. Loan signings are never ideal but if VK wants him then that’s ok by me.

I thought the minions were mimicking us in the CF stand trying to pronounce his name and put it into a chant.

Just had a brief look on the Coventry forum. Better offensively seems to be the general consensus, but a decent player nonetheless.

You’d imagine Chelsea would have been given some assurances that Maatsen will get game time - especially after the Drinkwater fiasco. So are we expecting him to be competition for Taylor or will Kompany start the season with him?

Glad to get this one wrapped up, and this lad knows the Championship, which for some is a prerequisite, it's certainly handy that'll he'll be aware of what this league involves.

However where does this leave Taylor and Dodgson, we don't really need 3 LB'S, so is Charlie going to sold as rumoured, or are we considering sending Dodgson out on loan.

Personal I'm delighted with the recruitment, young players who want to show they can do it.
Especially the loan signings.
Was always going to lose the main men, but obviously would be great if we could have kept Collins and although hopefully at least either Cornet or McNiel but what will be .
