There are 19 possible home ties , where I think we will give the opposition a spanking.
Long gone are the days when I used to think whoever we get drawn against is a possible banana skin.

You’re probably right, the season is not complete until you’ve lost 5-0 at Manchester City

We’ve a 38% chance of getting a Prem side, 100% chance of getting winners of City v Chelsea

A Leicester or West Ham at home would be good, let our players test themselves against an established PL side.

Six EPL sides already gone (Palace, Everton, Newcastle, Brentford, Bournemouth & Forest); at least 8 in total in the round with two more definite to go from the Wolves v Lpool replay and today's City v Chelsea tie. It's not inconceivable that Leeds might go out at Cardiff today either - especially if they rest a few key players.
The opposition thinned out quite nicely already so a nice home draw against anybody outside of the top half of the EPL would be excellent.

I keep hearing it's prior to the City-Chelsea game today.

As long as it's not number 11 Vs number 13..The weeks of building up to the last derby nearly finished me off...well worth it of course in the end 😂

Laura Woods has just announced the 4th round draw will be shown at the end of the Cardiff and Leeds tie live on ITV.
Both channels looking for viewers.

We could do the treble over them in the same season.

Lower league team for me. Accrington Stanlay at Turf Moor. Let's win the alternative double.

When asked about the prospect of Burnley enjoying a lengthy FA Cup run VK replied “We’re enjoying it but sooner or later you come up against one of the Big Dogs”.

I've just noticed that, if we get through the next round, the fifth round ties will all be midweek.

Any home draw will do.
No Premier League would want a visit to The Turf and we are no banana skin... We are better than that.

Always away.

In my head about 1 in 5 cup draws are at home in my living memory. Certainly stacks up this season, but no doubt the evidence says otherwise going back through our history.

Briliant draw! Only 90 miles from home here in Kent, and a good chance to progress to round 5.

An away tie against a third division side with an opportunity to get into round five. I’ll take that. Far better than drawing City

Hoping to get to this. If I do it will be almost 50 years to the day since my first visit there in Feb. 1973 with a Man Utd. supporting mate to see his team.lose 4-0. We were students in London and had a good day ( for me at least) sampling Tolly Cobbold ales.

Always had a bit of a soft spot for Ipswich. Proper football club , good support from fans that, from my experience, aren't up themselves like some. They're doing well at the moment and will probably fancy giving a right go if their fans get behind them from the outset. It's a cup tie and anything can happen on the day. That said , I hope we'll be too strong for them and progress.

Similar.

First visit later in 73 early in our return to top flight..
Hitched through the night with a couple of lads I'd met in the Turf Hotel and shared a pint or two of that Brew Ten muck before we left. (I was nearly 16 😉)
Via North circular, and an early morning kip in some wasteland by Colchester Station.
Lunchtime drinking Tolly in an Ipswich pub and another drab hitch home after our first defeat (I think) of that season.
