April TV dates.

Post by TopCat » Tue Mar 14, 2023 10:21 am

I see Sheff Utd have been picked, but no more of ours?
Seems like Reading is remaining at 3pm Saturday then??
Just happens to be Promotion day, IMHO.

I'd be wary about assuming none of our April fixtures will change at the last minute, especially if we're close to clinching promotion,

Surely the Sky cameras will want to capture the game where we seal our PL return.

So far as I know they have only picked up to Easter monday (Sheff U) so far. The Blackburn game is an extra because it was picked on the original date so that pick carries forward. Reading could yet move.

Boro is also live on tv. They haven't announced tv games for Reading weekend yet - the only reason Blackburn has been announced is because it was selected before it was postponed this month. I think Reading weekend selections are due later this week.

Just working on the basis that they have picked Sheff Utd v WBA and that is April 26th.

Is that not due to the fact its postponed from this weekend due to the FA Cup, therefore in effect it becomes a "Freebie" to sky as it has to be midweek so they're entitled to pick it up now as part of their agreement

Sheff Utd is the last game announced so far (apart from rearranged games).

As you get nearer the end of the season the time that they announce it in advance gets smaller

That fits into the same category as Blackburn v Burnley, a rearranged game

As I posted above, the release dates are all at:
