And was he part of the huge mural that was painted along Harry Potts way... before it was obliterated with black paint.

Is there anyone ITK who can update us on how/if things are progressing.
I have defended the board previously but find it difficult to understand their reasoning behind not restoring them to their rightful positions.

Bit of a stuck record that keeps coming back up, this one.

Latest from CT was that there had been some progress, but they wanted to inform the original contributors before proceeding.

I'm sure he'll expand on that as and when

Thanks Zizkov. But the fact it keeps coming back up shows how important it is to a lot of posters on this board.

Portraits were of our greats and wouldn't be complete without arguably our greatest goalscorer, Willie Irvine.

I've posted this on several occasions. The Football Club will not have them on their footprint. We were told by Russell Ball that they would not go back up because: "Alan doesn't like them," this despite an email from the chairman that they would be going back up in their original positions.

Once there is definite news on when they are going in a new place, I'll update but not before then, it would be unfair on the sponsors. In terms of who the players were;

Phase 1 (Bob Lord Stand)

Jerry Dawson – Earby Clarets
Bert Freeman – Regal Precision Engineers (Colne) Limited
Tommy Boyle – Accrington Clarets
George Halley – Accrington Clarets
Bob Kelly – Burnley Football Supporters Club
George Beel – Accrington Clarets
Harry Potts – Burnley Football Supporters Club
Jimmy McIlroy – Accrington Clarets
Jimmy Adamson – West Yorkshire Clarets
Brian Miller – UptheClarets.com
John Connelly – South West Clarets
Ray Pointer – Central Lancs Clarets

Phase 2 (Jimmy McIlroy Stand)

Willie Irvine – Earby Clarets
Ralph Coates – Trevor Hillman
Frank Casper – London Clarets
Martin Dobson – Burnley Football Supporters Club
Leighton James – Brian Speak
Peter Noble – Colne Clarets

Phase 3 (Longside Stand)

Billy Hamilton – Accrington Clarets
Trevor Steven – Accrington Clarets
Ian Britton – Burnley Football Supporters Club
David Eyres – Burnley Football Supporters Club
Gary Parkinson – Earby Clarets
Glen Little – Accrington Clarets
Andy Payton – Burnley Football Supporters Club
Robbie Blake – Accrington Clarets
