But, our great goalkeeper of the 1950s, now England's oldest surviving international, Colin McDonald will be celebrating his 94th birthday today. I'm sure we all wish him a good day.

94 years, and was good enough to have 94 caps. Such a shame his career ended in the way it did.

Genius and true legend!

When I first started watching the Clarets in the 1950s, he was the goalkeeper. But for his unfortunate injury, he would have played many times for England.

You do wonder how many he might have reached but for the injury. I never saw him play first team football but I'm yet to meet anyone who did that doesn't have him right up there as one of the best.

First Burnley keeper I saw and loved watching him, happy birthday Colin.

Happy Birthday Colin. I began watching Burnley when Jimmy Strong was in goal (He was getting on a bit by then). When you came into the team it was wonderful to have a great keeper in our team. Many happy returns to a great gentleman.

A player my Dad often talked about when goalkeeping came up.

Colin McDonald a Claret legend through and through and one of the best keepers ever. He is one of the reasons that I have always passionately followed BFC (from afar) and I still have a copy of Football Monthly, which features him on the front cover.

I wish him a very, very happy birthday.
