Be interested to see what posters thought about his involvement in our second goal. Was it a foul, a coming together or was it more dark arts as has been mentioned in another thread?

Certainly assisted the goal
These days however shirt pulling and “ barging” goes unpunished in all 4 divisions or there would be free kicks/ penalties on a much more regular basis

I would say it was Flemm just trying to get to the ball and nudging the guy who's screening him. Six of one, for me.

This. I think he had eyes on the ball.

If that was a foul by Flemming so was the one (actually even more so) on Edwards on the edge of the area in the forst half

It was exactly what most players should do. An acceptable amount of force. Any more extended arms..probably a foul. I thought it is what I should expect to feel, as a defender.
Goal.

I'll also note that there is no immediate complaint from the supposedly fouled defender. He looks buggered at the outcome more than anything.

No more than the push which got Antony’s goal disallowed an against WBA. But slightly less obvious as it was off the ball?
Also agree the defender didn’t complain which is normally a good sign of a fair challenge.

Both were moving back towards the flight of the cross but neither would have got there.
Nothing to see for me.

I think if the defender had gone down that ref would have ruled the goal out

Never a foul

As I said on Bluesky, if that is under VAR and against an Arsenal or Liverpool defender, that is ruled out. In the moment, I thought it was a clear push and was waiting for the whistle.
But a PL defender is going to fling himself to the floor in that situation and a Championship level one isn't.

Agree, and the wba defender didn't complain either I remember. Neither a foul

I don't think that's a foul under any interpretation of the rules and I also don't think it influenced proceedings. Hannibal's knock back would've been behind the defender regardless.

Edwards was visibly flattened, from the back.
