Maybe Dyche sees a player/coach role for him? He’s 35 soon and was clearly one of SD’s must trusted performers.

I doubt he’s anything other than keeping himself fit, but stranger things have happened.

Can’t see the issue with helping David Jones out. Think it’s a nice touch by the club and Dyche. He was a good servant, always appreciative of the fans and a good bloke. Maybe he’s a future coach in the making.

Signed? Trial? Not sure, but Sky this morning are reporting: "Burnley have taken Swedish striker Joel Mumbongo on trial and the 20-year-old has travelled with the Under 23 Squad to Poland. Mumbongo has been playing for Verona in Italy but is a free transfer this summer."
