I square legged yesterday as we only had one umpire at the game. On asking the umpire on the no ball rules to clarify what I shold give (as the bloody rules change that often)he said it was waist high for full tosses and short pitch bowling that went over shoulder height.
I was a little surprised but any ball whistling around their ears will be a no ball.

Another 80 odd for the Price is right at Colne yesterday. Think they can be mathematically promoted today, although they're virtually there already.

Well done the fellow-Claret.
But hopefully he'll balance that up with a duck v Harwood next Sunday!

If he'd hit it again, surely he'd be given out " Hit twice " ? Or am I wrong ?

Not particularly although it is nothing unexpected. Ramsbottom look out of the running now after losing at Clitheroe. Walsden drop two bonus points.

Burnley face Church and Todmorden in their last two fixtures, whilst Lowerhouse have Clitheroe and Ramsbottom ... with a 3 point lead, it's advantage Burnley, I'd say ..

That includes Walsden having taken 10 points today. Those point totals are after 20 games each. The Lancashire League website is not including the 1 point Walsden gained in their defeat at Darwen yesterday

Such a shame the weathers ruined a good competitive season, had it not I’d imagine It would have been tighter but you can’t blame a team for that! Another big win for Burnley without a pro. I’ve always said to win the league you need 1-2 batter scoring over 1k runs.., it’s just not been that kind of year

Colne beaten at Middleton but promoted. Middleton looking like favourites to join them.

They had a pro and have had very good sub pros all season.
The major reason you might win it.

You're allowed to stop it from rolling onto your stumps by hitting the ball a second time. The "hit the ball twice" rule is to stop a batsman blocking it and then slogging it.

Any idea why Walsden ‘batted on after winning’ as per the scorecard on the Lancashire League website.

Can only be a scorer error.
When they tallied up at the end it must of been some runs missed.
