A. 10
I thought he was very poor today ignoring VAR Ben Mee goal he only blew the whistle because of warning Barnes previously lots of refs pre empt this and it annoys me. Maybe it was a slight nudge but he was blowing no matter what.
B. 10
Again one moment it’s a foul for a push by the defender on Barnes next it’s the other way with no difference between the plays.
C. 20
One of the fittest refs we got in the BPL and positioning is ok just doesn’t give the right decisions.
D. 10
Didn’t like the way he handled a few situations with Barnes (again) and just looked like he was disinterested in listening to both sets of players on a number of occasions this is a problem amongst all refs now they don’t communicate with the players well. Just stand there waving them away which just annoys players

My only criticism of friend today, was that he was far too quick to blow on two occasions when we had possession of, yet he chose to award a freekick. VAR Was nothing to do with the referee, so I will mark accordingly…

He clearly pointed to the centre spot. It was VAR that over-ruled.
He had one of his better days. The decisions that were incorrect were given by his crew.

Some mind bogglingly high scores. Guessed almost every decision.

17 fouls against Burnley players - the ref was looking to penalise Burnley at every opportunity.
Advantage for both sides was very poor. He wasted time time talking to players instead of getting on with the game.
Many thanks for the corner for our first goal - another mistake.

I thought that was the best I’ve seen him. I liked the fact he played advantage and brought it back when nothing came of it. He also gave at least 2 free kicks to us without our players having to fall down which is unusual for this level.
VAR nothing to do with him and Barnes is a nightmare for refs, he wins free kicks and isn’t always fouled, judging when he backs in, when he doesn’t make an attempt to head the ball, when he makes a back for opponents and when he is actually fouled is a difficult task because he’s good at the dark arts. I said just before the Mee disallowed goal that someone needed to get Barnes out of that area as the keeper was a calamity without our presence and the ref was getting fed up with the argy bargy by both

Not sure you can call him out on Ben Mee's 'goal' as Barnes steamed into Robert before Mee even got his head on the ball. As clear a foul as you'd ever see.
He wasn't great though.

Mee has had his shirt pulled before Barnes does anything so should have been a pen.

I thought this too and if so why didn't VAR tell him to award a pen?

I've reached the point where I don't know what VAR is checking and what it isn't but that's a penalty ahead of any foul by Barnes.

This is becoming very difficult - where does the on-field referee end and VAR start - thought this was one of his better games probably because we were so dominant that officildom was never likely to influence the result.

Not going to score him myself but I feel some are being a little harsh. You can’t lay any of the VAR shenanigans at his door and generally he was ok. Certainly one of his better performances reffing us.

Really have no clue what VAR are looking at. We get absolutely nothing from VAR continually. Almost a third of the season gone and we have been given nothing subjective by VAR. we just want correct and consistent decisions...
Friend had one of his better games..which to use an analogy his usual standard is a car crash and this was a slight bump

On a positive note I worked out where the pitch side screen is today. Just wish someone would let the referee know where it is.
Also, it appears to have a person looking after it, how much are these guys getting paid each week!

Didn't know they had a pitch side screen man as well. They could easily cut costs, get rid of him, the screen and Stockley Park and go back to how it was.
