Could have told you that score.
Skippy Kindon had been telling them on football focus to put 50p on us as we always win on television
As you know we did not that time

My mates wedding day. I went out at half time to catch the scores on my car radio, not impressed. When I told him the full time score, he said it had ruined his day. New wife certainly not then impressed and I got a bollocking
True love never dies,

He's still married to her and I'll remind him on Sunday of his joyous occasion.

Ouch!!! That is etched on my memory. Then there was WBA 8-0 Burnley. Jeff Astle tore us a new one that day I recall. Don't you just love football?

I was stood behind a goal at Loftus Road that day. Was living in London at the time so at least did not have to reflect on the result during a long journey home.

I’m not having that. We had scored in every game that season up to that point and Arthur Bellamy scored close to the end to make it 8-1.

I went to both of those high scoring games. The Albion one was largely due to Bobby Hope the Albion no 10. He was incredible that day.Seem to recall the first goal was a pretty tame shot that went through Harry Thomsons hands and legs.I was behind the goal. Can remember Jimmy Adamson at the end of the QPR game going straight over to O'Rourke and consoling him which showed the human side of Adamson.

Oh dear, poor Billy.
That was a very bad day. I think we were a selected game on MOTD which is how they did it then.

The only time my London born pal came to watch Burnoey with me.
Horrendous! We even passed it past our young keeper. O'Rourke was distraught.

How many times does this have to come up as a new topic, it isn't, it's incredibly painful for those of us old enough to have witnessed it first hand, so FFS, let it go!

I was refused admission by a policeman who didn't like me!
He said I had a dangerous 'belt buckle' on. So I went away, took off my belt and wrapped it around my left shin. Went back to try to get in.
Was getting close to kick off by then.
The pillock was still at the turnstiles... He searched me, found the belt and threatened to arrest me if I tried to get in again!

Joey-you are probably right. Just wondering who it would have been-it was definitely the manager at the time

Ha ha. Sorry Tony, you know I had a feeling we scored but wasn't sure. Wasn't all that bad then was it.

Freudian fat finger Tim! I must have football fan equivalent of PTSD as I have inserted our score of that day!
Nowadays, PTSD is a good thing.
