My brother in law has been skiing in North Italy and was forced to fly home this morning. They were met by armed police and escorted onto buses, made to keep 1m apart from other passengers and loaded onto chartered planes. So the Italians are taking it seriously.
Then he landed at Gatwick, collected his bags and walked straight through and out of the airport, through the crowds with zero checks made or questions asked.....

My granddaughter is a teacher in Rome and when they closed her school she flew back from Rome to Manchester. She wasn't checked in any way at either airport and neither were the other passengers on the flight.

Just flying people back here from these areas and telling them to self isolate just isn’t remotely good enough. If it’s in lockdown they should stay there imo. If they have to come back contain them properly.

While I’m thinking (hoping) it won’t be anywhere near as serious as is being made out, absolutely agree with this.
I’m no conspiracist. And have no axe to grind or reason to think this, but I can’t help but think the uk gov have some sort of agenda to NOT stop the spread.
I do think the biggest issue will be economical rather than health wise.
