This is the penultimate game within the Leagues. Who will prevail?
In the Brain O'Neil, it looks like a 4-horse race. Can Buxton hold his nerve? Will Burns pip him at the post? Both The Doge and BinOntTurf are hot on their heels. JellyBelly may end up an "also ran".
Things are tight to avoid the Wild Card Play-Offs where it is more like a lottery as to who makes it. I did suggest earlier in the week that 30 points would be enough to avoid these extra games. It may be as low as 27 points. Nail-biting stuff !
In the Ralph Coates, Bobinho seemed to have things sewn up; that was until BigF, from the relegation zone, put a dent in his plans! This has opened things up for Claret101. MrTopTier's recent form has been nothing short of miraculous! New Bingo Dabber Mr Tier?
Avoinding the Wild Card Play-Offs is even tighter in the Ralph Coates. Even the likes of our "Draw Meister", Sproggy and California looking over their shoulders.
For those who missed it, SPECIAL MENTION has to go to our resident Pirate who, as one commentator put it, scuttled his ship to allow his opponent to win ! Wow! Such Sportsmanship! There is honour amongst Spot the Ballers !
REMEMBER, the Wild Card play-offs will start NEXT Saturday 8 August, with Game 2 on Sunday 9 August. This will allow us to get on with the End of Season Cup Play-Offs from Monday 10 August. Set your alarm clocks NOW ! There will be NO FERGIE TIME!
