Fair enough, and I don't want to labour the point too much but it's important to note that between the time when the article you're citing as a record of underfunding by Labour (2001) and up until 2010, police funding increased by 31%, only to fall again after 2010. Devils_Advocate mentioned it a bit further up. That can't be ignored. It's not that people care about any one party over the other, it's that they want public services to work.clarethomer wrote: ↑Wed Aug 19, 2020 10:49 pmI agree and governments of red and blue have been a bit bad with the old abacus and that was purely my point.

Bloody hell, wasn't expecting photo evidence, but cheers anyway! Viral facebook posts have found their way on here in the past. I'm naturally sceptical.
Also...whatever floats your boat, my dude!

True, I couldn't agree more, no wonder there's so many accidents & roadkill you are concentrating on the Speedo & nothing else there could be a gang of elephants on the road & you wouldn't notice.boatshed bill wrote: ↑Wed Aug 19, 2020 10:53 pmI've been done twice by motorcycle cops who know exactly where to catch motorists (entering a 30 from a 40 limit), they get you as you are adjusting down, if you are lucky enough to see the signs.
This is definitely a police decision. Is it a crime? More like a misdemeanour, IMO. But it's £80 and 3 points however you want to look at it.![]()

Re: Police Priorities...
There was sufficient resource to send 7 cars (seven) and 1 van to the Starkies in Padiham Friday before last. There was a few girls scrapping outside and the odd lad getting lippy.
I was walking past and said politely to one female constable as she alighted her car and started putting her mask on 'Go on love, sort the little wankers out'.
She told me to stop using foul and abusive language. Oh for a return of Jack Reagan!
