Just looks like a typo to me. Too coincidental to be an exact match with Abramovic.
I certainly wouldn’t employ you as my accountant if you don’t realise realise the importance of currency conversion rates & fluctuating values.
Not sure what point you are trying to make... Certainly wouldn't employ you as a proof reader eitherJakubclaret wrote: ↑Sun Nov 08, 2020 3:36 pmI certainly wouldn’t employ you as my accountant if you don’t realise realise the importance of currency conversion rates & fluctuating values.

Are you suggesting he could be a dodgy Giza?
No but the whole thing Sphinx
for all my early life I watched us struggle in the lower divisions as a "home town team". Daft as it sounds I still enjoyed it but don't be afraid of change. I never thought I'd leave Lancashire but I now live in the sunshine and I can assure you it's a way better life experience than the rain !! Change can be goodIanMcL wrote: ↑Sun Nov 08, 2020 1:29 pmPersonally, I think it will be a sad day, when Burnley FC is no longer a home town team.
The transfers will become worldwide and that very strong British influence will diminish.
Just another WHU or Crystal Palace....Good on paper.
No longer a band of brothers.

I spoke with my “bestie” yesterday. I actually used to own a cafe in Dubai with him and a third partner who is in the same business as our Egyptian suitor, food and beverage franchising throughout the Middle East. The 3rd party owes me $35k but that’s another story....
My bestie used to run Shk Mohd’s private equity fund and he was going to buy Liverpool before Gillet and Hicks scuppered the deal, my point is he knows the middle eastern industry this guy operates in, he knows soccer, and he knows the Dubai royal family...
.... and he’s never heard of El Kashashy....
Hi NRC, our Charlton posters aren't going to like it when they read your post - or maybe they will feel vindicated. I don't expect Chris Farnell will like it. Maybe the Mirror will ask their reporter to check their sources, also. If the Mirror's report on El Kashashy's wealth were accurate, should he have gained an entry in the Sunday Times rich list from earlier this year - as a director of Staunch Partners.NRC wrote: ↑Sun Nov 08, 2020 9:29 pmI’m going to sound like I have an inside line, but I really don’t, though it shows how things can be spun, though everything I say here is absolutely real and truthful![]()

This is total nonsense. It was down to him failing to tick a box which disclosed some information regarding former involvement with a football club within a specified period of time.Charlton Boy wrote: ↑Fri Nov 06, 2020 9:48 pmOn his failing at Charlton of the ‘fit and proper persons test’ - I believe it’s claimed down to a box he didn’t tick on the form.
Failing to correctly complete a form would mean your application was rejected, but you can apply again.
In my opinion You don’t get a suspension just for filling out an application incorrectly.
I’m surprised to see people still claiming they don’t know enough about this bid to have an opinion. You’ve been warned chaps, I believe another of your posters has already said he understands no investment is going to be made into the team. Time will tell.
We at Charlton genuinely wish you the best. I’m sure we will link up to protest when the time comes (because it will). I for one will be there, they will never be forgiven for what they did to us.
I was reading Charlton fans on social media, when it was pointed out they were in trouble long before Farnell arrived, such as the sit down protest and tennis ball throwing the last time we played them. They then just revert to abuse.Top Claret wrote: ↑Mon Nov 09, 2020 8:28 amCharlton fans coming on our board spouting about Farnell appear to have little or no evidence in their allegations that he is a wrong un.

The test he failed, did he win on appeal? Or have I misunderstood that?Charlton Boy wrote: ↑Mon Nov 09, 2020 9:54 amYou claim it's nonsense but then agree with my statement that he failed because he didn't tick a box. So you agree with me ....
The EFL know exactly who he is and the EFL lawyer has a gruge after what happened at bury (this all came out once he got rejected by the EFL at Charlton).
The man failed the Fit and Proper Persons test - NO ONE FAILS THAT TEST, especially not a 'lawyer'
But yeah, i'm trying to make it sinister. You enjoy him fella, i'm sure he'll do wonders for you with the "Billionaire" Egyptian.
I read an article on the Derby takeover yesterday and ended up quite envious. Said his families wealth is £118bn or something, buying them for £65m - that's for a club almost certainly consigned to the Championship this season and next. Makes us look quite cheap comparably and it is strange to me that we haven't attracted one of the super-wealthy owners, given we've been looking for 2+ years and there've been a number of takeovers in that period.JohnDearyMe wrote: ↑Mon Nov 09, 2020 7:09 amThis has me thinking of Portsmouth's former Saudi Arabian owner Al-Faraj
Doesn't need to until it becomes relevantCharlton Boy wrote: ↑Mon Nov 09, 2020 10:04 amThe EFL rejected him. An independent panel allowed it to be overturned. He still hasn't past the fit and proper, to my knowledge.
not sure why - the guy has a terrible reputation in English football - led Liverpool on a merry dance and never showed the money, tyre kicked again at Newcastle and never showed the money - now £60m at Derby - a huge overvaluation for a club that doesn't own it's ground and has recently taken out a loan secured against the training ground - I am also struggling to remember the last time they made an operating profit, that club haemorrhages moneyNewClaret wrote: ↑Mon Nov 09, 2020 10:02 amI read an article on the Derby takeover yesterday and ended up quite envious. What investors are generally interested in is future cashflow - or at least potential future cashflow. Derby may not own their ground, but it is substantially larger than ours and they have the ability to fill it as a Premier League team - they already have a significantly higher average attendance than us (in normal times!) even in the Championship. Yes, they have to get there first, which is a big risk factor, but there is a also a risk that Burnley could get relegated.Chester Perry wrote: ↑Mon Nov 09, 2020 10:18 amnot sure why - the guy has a terrible reputation in English football - led Liverpool on a merry dance and never showed the money, tyre kicked again at Newcastle and never showed the money - now £60m at Derby - a huge overvaluation for a club that doesn't own it's ground and has recently taken out a loan secured against the training ground - I am also struggling to remember the last time they made an operating profit, that club haemorrhages money

I've said before that if you buy Burnley, you're buying at the top of the market. If I was was an investor, I would be looking for a club exactly like Derby where there is plenty of upside potential - a bigger club than us for a third of the price. Buying us, the risks are heavily skewed to the downside.
There is no libel if what you say is true.Charlton Boy wrote: ↑Mon Nov 09, 2020 11:27 amI understand that our dossiers have reached the Burnley boardroom, so if you do go ahead with Farnell after that, and all the other media questions, then certainly more fool them, but I really doubt it.
I am happy to DM anyone who wants more info on why we dislike Farnell. I won't post here as there has been occasions where Charlton fans have been threatened with libellous action.

Correct. If I had information which was 100% true, libel action wouldn't bother me one little bit
