Dwight McNeil - too good to get binned off but not good enough to play for anyone better. Unless Burnley drop into League 1 cant see him ever leaving and think he will grow into a solid Championship midfielder for a midtable Championship club (AKA Burnley)

Re: Current players that will retire playing for us
Jay Rod & Mee definitely, Bards perhaps, Westwood probably, the rest I can't see sticking around long enough, they'll either move on to bigger clubs (Dwight,Tarks) or drop down to the Championship.
I'd like to imagine Pope being between the sticks for the next 10 years, but if he maintains this form the vultures will be circling.
Sadly the game has very few players who now stay at a club for the long term, agents generally see to that.

Could do worse - like go to Yarkshire, and play for one of their many transient PL clubs.Devils_Advocate wrote: ↑Thu Dec 17, 2020 10:03 pmDwight McNeil - too good to get binned off but not good enough to play for anyone better. True but I think playing under a top manager like Bielsa would do wonders for his development. Unfortunately for Dwight but good news for us I think that ship has sailed with Leeds now being too bigger step up for the ladClaret Toni wrote: ↑Thu Dec 17, 2020 10:11 pmCould do worse - like go to Yarkshire, and play for one of their many transient PL clubs.
Nowt wrong with being a club man for your whole professional career though

Bielsa - not sure what major trophies he's won as a manager to back up that top manager comment. Probably loads though as you wouldn't just state it; probably even more surprising that he saw the next stage in his managerial career to be a mid table Championship feeder club. At 65, he probably still has loads more to offer and would look to stay where he is for years to come. Long-term contract is it? Is he learning English, assuming that's the language spoken in Yarkshire?Devils_Advocate wrote: ↑Thu Dec 17, 2020 10:19 pmTrue but I think playing under a top manager like Bielsa would do wonders for his development. Are you referencing Giggs at MU, I've got to be honest I don't believe Dwight's trophy haul will match his.
..and I'll take this opportunity to wish you and yours Christmas Greetings and trust 2021 will be much better than 2020.

There's advocating and then there's trolling. Mix them together and you up your chances for a catch. Personally I don't know how people fall for it again and again.

I think he missed a trick with his username, Boring_**** would have been more appropriate.
