Pie and a Pint Podcast - Mark Robertson
Myself and a couple of mates from work started a football podcast (lockdown boredom) where we have an ex or current pro on each week.
We had our first ex-Claret on this week (well, if you don’t include Steve Guinan who had a very short loan spell with us too under Adrian Heath) in Mark Robertson, Aussie midfielder signed by Chris Waddle.
It’s very unprofessionally made so don’t expect much, but I thought and hoped it may be of interest to some on here. I think it gives a real good insight into the issues Waddle had as manager of Burnley - and of course, what a bolt from the blue it was when Stan came in to replace him!

(Caution - some swearing)

Top guy, we had a long chat before we started recording and you really couldn’t wish for a nicer bloke. Big fan of Dyche and proud to have represented our club.DAVETHEVICAR wrote: ↑Sat Dec 19, 2020 6:49 pmExcellent, Very enjoyable.

Not a fan of Stan haha. It’s clear Stan did what he had to do when he came in and didn’t mind if it upset a few. Thanks so much for watching/subscribing. We have a guest every week, obviously I’ll be doing everything I can to pepper in as many Burnley players as I can.harpers_perm wrote: ↑Sat Dec 19, 2020 6:50 pmReally good that so thanks. I met Mark Robertson on a number of occasions "socially" when he was playing for Burnley as he was lodging at one point with a friend of mine before he found proper accommodation. He really is a lovely, unassuming fella and his Mrs is delightful too.

Really enjoyed that and is always nice to hear all things Claret from that period under Stan.
As Mark said it's great just to listen/watch people passionately talk about the game and not all be centre of attention seekers being idiots.
Look forward to more.

A good listen was that with a grand chap. How nice was he about you fellas at the end?
Just one question, you said that they are your mates from work, does your work require all the lads to have beards?
