I think people forget the effort involved in using cassettes. It was proper hard work, rewinding to the bit you wanted to hear or taping yer songs from the radio or whatever.
Like most things, the memory is better than the reality, but both were great.

Kids these days will never understand.

always had a pencil in the car for putting the tape back in the cassettes

I’ve just bought the Michael Bentine cassettes of his live chat... wife looked at me sideways and said, “You are getting worse... we got rid of the last cassette player about seven years ago!” I’ll be on eBay shortly

Was played all the way down to Wembley in my mums Yugo 45 with me and my brother in the back

The claret and blue armada line was from Guy Havord on Radio Lancs. He’s on Sky now. Must have been difficult for him too, he’s a Plymouth fan.
