I'd love us to finish above the Weeds.
Re: Leeds v Palace tonight.
Draw best result for us I think.
Next best a Leeds win....Palace are without Zaha for a few weeks by the look of it and we want them low on confidence for the weekend and dragged into the relegation picture.
With Newcastle having a bad weekend with injuries we could do with them having a bad spell too as it’s much better for us for 5 a 6 teams to be involved in a relegation scrap than just the 4 of us.

Not a Palace win, what I would like is Dirty Leeds doing what they are good at, lots of injuries for Palace and then Palace retaliating and a couple getting sent off!

Palace's record without Zaha is shocking. Hopefully he's still out on Saturday.

Leeds victory required, the more we can reach the better.

It'd have to be 1 hell of a dragback there's a 14pt buffer between them ,& fulham even a draw tonight would constitute fulham winning 5 without palace even picking a point up, fulham would need to do more than double what there have already so far this season.StTedsOB wrote: ↑Mon Feb 08, 2021 2:56 pmDraw best result for us I think.

Palace named only 6 subs for tonight - instead of the allowed 9 subs.

We can still catch Palace and finish above them. Palace battered them in the reverse fixture, so expect them to do them over again.

Hmm! very much a mid-table battle, I fancy Leeds tonight, their energy will be too much for Palace, but neither will be in relegation trouble this term, and if we're going to finish above any of them, then it's more likely to be Palace than Leeds, especially if Zaha is out for a longish spell.

1-0 Leeds already, Palace could be in for a long night at this rate.

Re: Leeds v Palace tonight.
Leeds have played well again, and thoroughly deserve their 2 goal advantage, but Palace have been dire, and watching them tonight fills me with expectation of the Clarets collecting 3 points on our travels at the weekend. We can definitely cause their makeshift defence problems if we perform as we did 2nd half against Brighton.

Palace all over the place at set pieces, something we can capitalize on or sure if we get the delivery right

Been impressed with Luke Ayling for Leeds everytime I've seen him this season. For a person who hasn't played above Championship level football before he looks at home in the Premier League.

Re: Leeds v Palace tonight.
I think they were a bit ambitious in thinking it would bed in after just a few weeks.

Bamford is starting to look like the one that got away.

Raphinha is a fine player, he'd fit into our system so well.

Re: Leeds v Palace tonight.
Palace were dreadful. With better finishing from Leeds they’d have got absolutely mullered tonight. Poor to start and completely turned it in after they went 2-0 down.
My only concern for this weekend is that they can’t possibly be that bad again.

Just put it on Ben's head, and let him do the rest.Vegas Claret wrote: ↑Mon Feb 08, 2021 9:20 pmPalace all over the place at set pieces, something we can capitalize on or sure if we get the delivery right

Yes our set-piece delivery is certainly an area we can improve, and there's no reason why PL players can't put decent crosses in from a dead ball.
Re: Leeds v Palace tonight.
Yes I thought that too. I've not seen it look that bad for several seasons.ClaretTony wrote: ↑Mon Feb 08, 2021 10:01 pmOurs is a mess right now - looked really poor last Saturday

Wonder if they've reduced the number of staff who work on the upkeep of the pitch due to the pandemic?ClaretTony wrote: ↑Mon Feb 08, 2021 10:19 pmOurs gets pretty bad each season but it stood out when the cameras zoomed in on Saturday.

That pitch will cause a serious injury. Shades of Brian Clough. Career ending.ClaretTony wrote: ↑Mon Feb 08, 2021 9:37 pmIt’s horrendous. There were problems with it last match too.
They always used to say it was mot possible, owing to the settling down period needed.
