Re: Them vs Them
A fair result in the comedy game. And Knob End won too.

Re: Them vs Them
Well that's a good start to the weekend anyway, and it's cheered me up no end.
And unless the top 6 implode, neither of this duo will be eyeing up the PL anytime soon.

Hopefully, they'll be getting stuffed by Stanley next season.

Re: Them vs Them
Preston deserved it. They pressed intelligently. Good tactical nous from Alex Neil and, as Don Goodman said in commentary, always carried a threat even when they were dropping deeper.

Re: Them vs Them
Most inconsistent side ever, they win three then lose three. Rovers have as about as much chance of getting back into the Premier league as we have a cup semi final

And as said further up the thread, some on here wouldn't mind seeing us back down there.
Unbelievable.

Re: Them vs Them
Been telling some Rovers friends that the match would decide who were the 3rd and 4th best teams in Lancashire. When they asked, should that not be 2nd and 3rd, I said no, Burnley 1st and Stanley 2nd. They weren't amused!

Re: Them vs Them
I tend to associate diving with both of those clubs.
Blackburn kept up that association.
The Preston lad probably have to fight Ricardo Fuller, David Healy et al to be allowed back into Deepdale.

Re: Them vs Them
Rovers fans generally still expect to be promoted and still think they should be in the premier league. They think they have a very strong squad and that Mowbray is useless.
In reality they are just very ordinary.!

Re: Them vs Them
When we played Rovers in the League cup SD was obviously aware of the importance of the game so put out a very strong side.ElectroClaret wrote: ↑Fri Feb 12, 2021 9:57 pmAnd as said further up the thread, some on here wouldn't mind seeing us back down there.

We barely had to get out of first gear to beat them as the gulf in class was fairly obvious.

Re: Them vs Them
It is unbelievable - surely any football supporter wants his club to be the best it can be and no matter what results we get, I'd much rather be seeing us play the likes of Manchester City and Liverpool in league games than Wycombe and Rotherham. The difference in quality between the two divisions is vast, we saw that tonight with that game. One day I'm sure we will go back. It will be a sad day because being able to watch my (our) club playing in the Premier League for a fifth successive season is something I think is very special.ElectroClaret wrote: ↑Fri Feb 12, 2021 9:57 pmAnd as said further up the thread, some on here wouldn't mind seeing us back down there.
