Totally disagree. We won today and played brilliantly. That doesn’t mean we couldn’t have fielded a stronger team midweek and win both. The two don’t have to be mutually exclusive
Sean Dyche thought differently that the two games were exclusive and todays result would bear that out. If you have a different view fine but your not the manager.

I know there were. But people weren't arguing that the team put out midweek wouldn't improve our chances of winning today. They were arguing that the team put out midweek wasn't strong enough to make it to the quarter final - which it wasn't.

Like I say, it's not difficult to comprehend.
Again Sean Dyche thought differently. Thats abvious and not difficult to comprehend. I just wonder if some would have preferred a win in the Cup or today? In fact its a moot point now.

Where did I say I was the manager. He got it spot on today, he got it horribly wrong in the week. If you disagree that’s fine 👍

Sean Dyche did what he did to give us the absolute best chance to win today. I think everybody understood that at the time - I don't think that was ever in question.

Some people didn't agree with that approach, and the fact that we've won today doesn't make those people wrong. Some people would have preferred us to progress in the cup than win a league game, that's their choice, again it doesn't make them wrong.

My view is that we could have played Tarkowski and Westwood for example and still been competitive today.

It's gone anyway, I'm totally over us going out of the cup - but our victory today doesn't make the people who were disappointed with Tuesday's team selection and performance wrong to feel so.

I didn't mind the changes midweek. The issue was the application. We played at 70%.

The man who matters view on it.... Good night

“A few questions marks in the week after I made a lot of changes, which I don’t always do, but we keep losing players with injuries and the players give us a lot.

“I felt it was important to make those changes and today it paid us back because I thought the energy levels of the side were terrific and the tempo of the play both in and out of possession and the effective play.

“I talk many times about how many ways can we affect a game to win and I thought it was all on show with a very good performance.”

The ideal performance. Turn up, play better, win easy. You dream of it at this level.

Tall Paul says: "Funny how we win games when Vydra doesn't start..."

PL matches played: 23
Vydra started 3

And yet in the other 20 matches we've won only 7 and until today had scored fewer goals than everyone else. Case rested.
So we win about a third of our games when Vydra doesn't start and 0% when he does.

Thanks.

Game was won by 10 past 3. Great to see the lads playing with freedom and confidence. Get results against Fulham and West Brom and we’re pretty much safe.
Aaaargh!!! Why are people still talking about relegation. Look up boys, look up. :?: 😁😁😁

I think Ben Mee will be fit for Fulham, whether he plays or not is a different matter.
Sean does like to protect them, but this game being so important, I would ask the skipper and leave the decision up to him.
I thought the team were brilliant yesterday. No match report in the Sunday Mirror - why!
That collision knocked Ben Mee out cold. I know he is a great captain but I do hope for his sake he doesn’t play,

I don't want him to play for the sake of it, but he's honest enough to know whether he is alright. Him walking back to the pitch and into the dressing room is really good news, if it had been a blow to the head, rather than a blow to the chin, it could have been different.
