Another milestone for a Claret yesterday, and he marked it with a goal.
Chris Wood became the eighth player to start 100 Premier League games for Burnley and marked it with his 40th goal in the competition.
For those wondering as I was, 39 are for us, and 1 for Leicester way back in 2014, when he came on as a sub.

40 goals in 100 PL starts is a very good record and completely shows up his detractors.

And yet there are so many people who have recently wanted him dropping. He’s our biggest goal threat by a mile.

For balance, he’s been getting pelters recently because of his lack of goals and his relatively poor performances.
Seems to be back to his best tho since coming back, at least his performances have been much improved..... maybe the break did him good, maybe it’s the change of personnel alongside him, who knows. Long may it continue tho...
Prior to this season, he must have been close to 1 in every 2 games? I didn’t realise he was up there. How much £ a 1 in 2 striker?

Had a quick look at how Wood's record of 40 goals in 100 games compares with others:
Rashford: 53 in 170
Callum Wilson: 51 in 147
Antonio: 43 in 150
Ings: 51 in 133
Calvert-Lewin: 37 in 137

That one for Leicester was his Premier League debut I think.
In terms of starts, the eight are
186: Ben Mee
134: James Tarkowski
127: Ashley Barnes
121: Jack Cork
121: Matt Lowton
112: Ashley Westwood
107: Jeff Hendrick
100: Chris Wood
Next is Nick Pope who made his 99th start against Arsenal, then it's Charlie Taylor (88), Dwight McNeil (81) and JBG (77)

He has a total of 481 points as Burnley manager which includes 251 in the Premier League. Number 250 came with the draw against Leicester.
