Ok. I'll see what I can find out.Rombald wrote: ↑Sat Apr 24, 2021 2:10 pmLeisure, thanks for the work you are doing currently..
Would you be able to find out the impact of Executive box seats on existing season ticket holders? I've sent emails to ticket office and slo but nothing back at all.. would be good to know options and timing for changing seats, should this be required.

Me too!Goalposts wrote: ↑Fri Apr 23, 2021 7:08 pmI usually leave it to the last week to renew my season ticket and pay cash, I’m trying to remember when season tickets were suspended, I’ve been a consistent season ticket holder for 35 years so not that pleased that I’m being penalised as a direct result of a world wide emergency
I will renew in Phase 2, but I won't be buying any food/drink/Club clothing this season and I am not alone in saying this. The club will lose more than they gain, both financially and in terms of good will. Park View Chippy will be happy though......

No increase, find another revenue stream to service the debt they have put us in.

Re: Straw poll - Phase 1 / 2 prices
Very obvious logic to me that Phase 2 prices cannot be frozen.
It would be a reverse of previous statements, would disincentivize people leaving their money in the club (or similar) next time because they would clearly not believe what the club said at the time, and it would reduce the club’s spending power in the summer. Many people left their cash in despite very challenging personal circumstances, which should be respected instead of offering others who didn’t the same deal at a later stage.
Saying that though, any increase should be modest and not taking the pi$$ during a pandemic.

All they have said in previous statements is that a price freeze cannot be guaranteed.

Correct. Never seen anything from the club which said that Phase 2 prices would definitely increase, unless Crosspool can point me to where the club stated they would increase.

Re: Straw poll - Phase 1 / 2 prices
This is a difficult one, people have paid money up front and have been rewarded with a frozen price. I would be phase two, daughters gone to Uni, Dave who I sat next to who had paid up front , I went to his funeral 3 weeks ago. So they have lost 2 of the three people I went with.
I have a new part time job in retirement where I work weekends, and they understand the football family thing so will accommodate.
However if it’s gone up by 10% I think I might just as well pick some choice games to watch. So they will be down 3 season ticket holders. If it’s frozen I will renew.
Re: Straw poll - Phase 1 / 2 prices
Thanks for all the comments which we've received up to date on this thread. I'll be including all of them (plus comments which we've received on the Accy Clarets Facebook page) in an email to the club tomorrow.
Re: Straw poll - Phase 1 / 2 prices
Hi Pete, I can see merit in both sides of this one, however I very much believe in “live and let live”. As you know I have two season tickets in my name and whilst I’m not a wealthy person I am fortune enough to have been able to carry on paying and left the money in situe, there will be many who have had to reel there spending in to get by and I see no sense in adding to their “burdens” by price increases. Lot’s of supporters will be disenchanted, at the moment, with football and some with life in general. What we need, right now, is turnstiles spinning and seats occupied by happy bums.
Bottom line is, as far as I’m concerned, we should extend keeping existing seats at frozen prices for all ST holders that couldn’t/didn’t leave the cash in. If that happens I will not be at all bothered and kudos to Burnley FC.

Re: Straw poll - Phase 1 / 2 prices
I think the best point raised here is those who have paid up front in the past, effectively boosting the club liquidity, have never had an issue with those paying monthly getting the same price.
For the club to now claim some sort of unfairness, reeks of an ill thought out opportunistic excuse.
If this straw poll is indicative, it would certainly seem that the club will lose out to increase prices for phase two, whilst also upsetting morale of fans and seeming out of touch. This, in light of the Euro Super League fiasco, is Burnley’s opportunity to show it is the community club Alan Pace talks of and understand the fans.
Raise the prices, by all means, next season for all of us. Not just those unlucky enough to have not renewed at the right time / way.
Regards this thread, it’s heartening to see that the ‘I’m alright jack’ fans are in minuscule numbers and that even if it is just the fans (rather than the club) we are looking out for each other.

Re: Straw poll - Phase 1 / 2 prices
I concur with most of the other comments on here.
I've bought my ticket in Phase 1 and implore the club to freeze the prices of the season tickets in Phase 2, especially with the miscommunication over the early bird period last summer.
IMO it would be a short sighted and pretty stupid move for the new board to start their tenure by upsetting a percentage of their loyal fanbase, when many people have been struggling with their day to day lives and finances.
I want Turf Moor as full as possible next season.
Be the bigger man Alan Pace and Burnley FC.

Re: Straw poll - Phase 1 / 2 prices
To be honest I am having to wait for the phase 2 to open. I don’t really mind a small increase in price as I have my “on account” for the four missed games which should easily cover any price increase. We have had it good for so long with price freezes.

Re: Straw poll - Phase 1 / 2 prices
Yes we haven't had a price increase for a while but that should be the case for the long term, it's not like any Premier League club is on the breadline. The top flight is awash with money and every time a new TV deal is signed the clubs can't wait to spend it on increased fees, salarys and agent costs, most of that cash goes out of the game.
Putting the tickets up 5 or 10% will make almost no difference to the running of any Premier League club but it can make a difference to a family of four watching the games.

Re: Straw poll - Phase 1 / 2 prices
By the way, I think the amounts paid to players are obscene.
Re: Straw poll - Phase 1 / 2 prices
I think the club will sooner rather than later need to uplift prices just to reflect inflation and general price increases. So I believe it wouldn’t be unreasonable for the club to at least increase prices in line with annual salary growth, RPI or CPI. What I pay now in comparison to many other things represents good value for money. But for 2021/22 and the exceptional circumstances of the last year or so freeze prices across the board.
Re: Straw poll - Phase 1 / 2 prices
Many thanks for all the comments received, with a massive majority being in favour of a price freeze for Phase 2. I've now sent all the comments, plus those received on the Accy Clarets Facebook page. to the club and asking them to take account of the views of fans and not implement a price increase. Whether or not this will make any difference to the final decision of the club, time will tell.

Result! We'll never know just how influential all your comments were in the club's decision to not raise the price but they couldn't have done any harm. Power to the fans! And a big 'well done' to the club.

Re: Straw poll - Phase 1 / 2 prices
Price freeze for me too, albeit too late to affect the decision. I have my phase 1 ST in place but only because they have auto renewed me (which should ALWAYS have been the case) The whole process was protracted and convoluted (at least for me) so i'd tried and given up more than once.
my thoughts... just because you think someone is getting more, doesn't mean you are getting less. Turf Moor at bursting capacity sounds good to me.
Well done Pete for your part in driving this.
