Notts v Lancs T20

Post by tiger76 » Sat Jun 26, 2021 4:37 pm

173-6 by Notts, a hundred for Hales, so let's see what Lancs have in response, it's not an easy chase, but with a decent start it's gettable.

Decent start by Lancs 63-2 in the 7th, a quickfire 39 by Davies including 5 sixes.

Painful!

Not budgeted for the loss of Buttler and Livi….not good enough!

This is twice within a week Lancs have somehow contrived to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory, serious questions need to be asked if we have a winning mentality in this side, yes we're missing important players, but that's true of most counties, so that can't be used as a valid excuse for constant failure.

Lamb and Wood are very poor.

I’m certain we have better prospects in the 2nd XI - the two you have identified for once I have to agree - they have offered very little and seem to hold onto their places regardless.

Not good enough.

5 without a win f0or Lancs now, and if we don't pick up ASAP you can forget booking tickets for finals day.

Good news for England Ben Stokes made 35 and took 4-27 for Durham tonight, so hopefully he's edging back towards full fitness again.

I wouldn't worry about finals day from a Lancs perspective alas.

And it wouldn't surprise me if the Arsenal game was moved for telly coverage, it's rare we play them at 3PM on a Saturday afternoon.

What’s the score with Faulkner and maxwell this season? Will they be available?

Faulkner looks all but finished as a cricketer.
Maxwell has just pulled out of The Hundred.
