Interesting - the Lancaster tournament included Ashton Athletic and Nelson originally ..

Literally two minutes walk from my middle son’s house

Nothing yet that isn’t already on the website - they are staying at home for pre- season. Looking to fit at least one home game in but nothing announced yet.

First team aren’t going anywhere for pre-season in terms of training.

Apart from the three games confirmed we are playing two simultaneously at Gawthorpe and then two further games at the end of pre-season. Hoping for two home games from outside of the UK but if not possible there are alternative plans in place.

Long time since I was there. Probably the reserve game in 2002 against Preston. I used to be a regular during my time on the board there.

More on the preparations for the Rangers game here.

It’s likely to be a team mostly made of youth players that takes on the Clarets, although some first team players may be involved.

statement on Burnley’s website read: "Former Tranmere and Shrewsbury boss Michael Jackson is in temporary charge of the squad, which will be based at Stirling University, following Steve Stone’s move up to become first-team coach.

"Jackson, along with Andy Farrell, will lead the team against a Rangers’ side at the Scottish champions’ training ground on Wednesday afternoon."

It'll be a good challenge for our youngsters as both Old Firm clubs have strong academies, sadly it appears it's a behind closed doors affair.
