Thanks for your patience
Can I just say thanks to most posters on the board over the past week and a half.
I don't want to go into any details although I know some of you know what I've had to deal with away from UTC over this time. I know I've been even less patient than usual at times so for that I apologise. The situation is I think, thankfully, improving but if I could ask for patience for a while longer I really would appreciate it.
Tony

No one needs to know anything CT and absolutely no need to apologise. You give more than your fair share of life to this board and for that I for one am gratefull. Take all the time you need.
By the way I didn't recognise you yesterday without your yellow coat, but go to see you have your mates around you.

Pleased to read your comments. Life is difficult as it has been in my family for a while. But this board is an important diversion for me so I much appreciate your stewardship. From reading your comments over some time hopefully getting out amongst people will become easier and help.

Re: Thanks for your patience
Tony, your control and management of this message board is a vital part of the Claret family. More important and enduring than any player or manager, because the site provides a long term mouthpiece for each and every Claret fan young, or old, who chooses to post. Gone (but not forgotten) are the Ternent’s, Coyle’s, Dobbo’s, Little’s, Blake’s and Ings, but this board has outlived them all and hopefully will outlast a similar assortment of heroes and villains and more.
The split from Claretsmad and the birth of uptheclarets.com showed exactly how popular and important this fans forum is to the supporters of our special club. The latter forum attracted nearly 100% of the regular users plus a whole new generation.
I hope your health and/or troubles improve soon - we need your strong personality and character to provide the “glue” that makes this fans forum one of the best there is.
Get well soon Tony.

Glad your situation is getting more manageable Tony, I don't think anyone on this board are really bad eggs...just some don't know when to stop poking the stick.

Good to hear that you are feeling like things are improving for you Tony
Like most family’s not everyone will get on with each other and have their disagreements but some of the posts recently have been out of order and can’t have been easy to monitor.
Hopefully we return to some “normality” next week and people will calm down

Re: Thanks for your patience
Been a grateful follower since the Burnley Email group. You have kept me more in touch with the clarets here in the usa, than I was when I lived in Skipton. Thanks for everything, get fit enough for the Turf and write that Messi article, just in case.
Re: Thanks for your patience
Tony, you do a cracking job. I know sometimes it doesn’t feel like it, but it’s appreciated.
Without this board, I would be lost for my BFC news.
Keep up the good work.

Re: Thanks for your patience
Tony, you don't need to apologise. I truly hope things are improving for you.
Like you (and Cobble, it seems) our family has had a truly awful time of it in the last few months. Quite frankly, I take my hat off to you if you've been having a difficult time and still keep this board going in the way that you do. I appreciate how difficult it can be when there is so much other pain to deal with.
To all Clarets, though, on here, be kind to each other. Too often people end up falling out and dishing out abuse yet none of us know what other difficulties people might going through.

I've mentioned it before but one of the greatest things about Burnley is that its always there, no matter what happens in real life. We're lucky to have the club, and lucky to have somewhere like this to share our thoughts and love for BFC too. Thanks to you Tony.

Re: Thanks for your patience
This is what most of us forget from time to time, everybody has struggles and most of them aren't visible. It's so easy to do damage with unnecessary words and behavior and almost impossible for the recipient to undo it. We all need to do better both on here and in general. All the best Tony, keep doing what you are doing.

Best wishes Tony. You have a lot on your plate and the fact that you keep this website up and running, and always up to date, is testament to your dedication and commitment. But your health has to come first, so look after yourself and keep well Tony. That's the main thing.
