It’s time we had a player with one name. Must admit I didn’t expect it to be Arthur when we did.
Re: Summer 2021 Transfer Window Rumours - Links - Discussion
But there are also comments on Twitter from Santos fans prior to today, talking about Barcelona, and if he would get in their side, and how good he is.agreenwood wrote: ↑Sun Aug 08, 2021 5:50 pmUnless Twitter translate is well out, it would be fair to say that he’s more Dane Richards than Neymar in the eyes of fans in Brazil. They seem pretty astounded by the news.
Im not suggesting for one minute he’s good enough for Barca, but it’s just stereotypical football fans. Some will say he’s good, others will say he’s cr@p.

Can we all agree though that Aaron Lennon is cr@p?TsarBomba wrote: ↑Sun Aug 08, 2021 8:20 pmBut there are also comments on Twitter from Santos fans prior to today, talking about Barcelona, and if he would get in their side, and how good he is.

Generally Lennon was a good squad player for us. I can only assume those moaning about his potential signing don’t watch us very often…

I can agree that he never made the impact I was hoping he would make. His first touch looked superb but unfortunately didn't offer a real threat for us.
Hopefully if he signs and returns he can prove us both wrong.
Re: Summer 2021 Transfer Window Rumours - Links - Discussion
On the contrary, it's probably those who watch us most often who are utterly despondent about his potential return...PremierLeagueClass wrote: ↑Sun Aug 08, 2021 8:30 pmGenerally Lennon was a good squad player for us. Perhaps we are buying a player 'off a video' like we did that wonder Peruvian goalkeeper....or....
It is Arthur Gnothere returning for 'getting fit purposes'.

I watched QPR v Millwall yesterday and Jed Wallace looked decent but he seems to have a free role up front playing on the left and cutting in or in central areas rather than an out and out right winger. He doesn’t track back either so not an obvious Dyche player. Charlie Austin looked very rusty and after all the QPR hype before kick off they were pretty rubbish.
Has to be said their ground although pretty atmospheric makes the Turf seem state of the art and £33 a ticket makes £30 in the Jimmy Mac look good value!

Christie did 3 assists yesterday albeit in a lower league, but at £5m looks a decent opportunity

Re: Summer 2021 Transfer Window Rumours - Links - Discussion
The Ryan Christie move, if it goes through, could be very good. Another good game for Celtic yesterday apparently and he'd come cheap.
Re: Summer 2021 Transfer Window Rumours - Links - Discussion
Well IMO we need to be shipping out Barnes, he looks to be going backwards. His age and limitations are catching up with him, if Kiefer Moore is a similar put it about target man, he can come in and do thar role, and start as 4th choice whilst getting upto speed.Newcastleclaret93 wrote: ↑Mon Aug 09, 2021 9:58 amYes they have been talking about that for a while on there messageboard. Surely we can’t be after another striker with 4 on the books
I only saw Barnes at Blackpool and v Cadiz and let's just say he offered very little, looked slow, lost the ball a lot and were in the pockets of far inferior defenders than what he will face in the premier league.
Re: Summer 2021 Transfer Window Rumours - Links - Discussion
I agree but if JRod and Basher are coming to the end of there stay here Kiefer may be seen as possible replacement.Newcastleclaret93 wrote: ↑Mon Aug 09, 2021 9:58 amYes they have been talking about that for a while on there messageboard. Surely we can’t be after another striker with 4 on the books

Ryan Christie link is interesting. We have looked at him before so there's long term interest there, suggesting Dyche likes him.

Very good point but at the rumoured 8-9m I can’t see him coming in to sit on the bench.MACCA wrote: ↑Mon Aug 09, 2021 10:11 amWell IMO we need to be shipping out Barnes, he looks to be going backwards. It's definitely a no to Kiefer Moore from me. Average player, 29, not an improvement on Barnes... would be a total waste of money.

I sense this morning that transfers are starting to really get going in the PL, with a number of clubs signing or close to. Hopefully it will trigger activity for ourselves

Re: Summer 2021 Transfer Window Rumours - Links - Discussion
Weve spent more 4 years ago on players who came to initially sit on the bench.Newcastleclaret93 wrote: ↑Mon Aug 09, 2021 10:31 amVery good point but at the rumoured 8-9m I can’t see him coming in to sit on the bench.

The player would jump at the chance to be at a premier league club, and the subsequent pay increase.
You've got to think in 10 months we will be without both Barnrscand Jay, so he could by then be looking at starting, or at least be playing regularly.

We need a wide right player to feed our strikers in the mode of Wade Elliot or Super Glen someone who can beat a man and deliver quality balls in
