Everything just feels flat doesn’t it. Shame really with fans getting back into the stadium a couple of signings would have given a huge boost, both atmosphere wise and playing wise on the pitch. Still 3 weeks till deadline though to make that happen.

I really hope I'm wrong but I can see a 0-2 defeat. I just don't feel confident with our midfield's capability to controll a game and give service to our forwards. If McNeil has a good game linking up with Taylor to feed Wood and whoever is the other striker we may get somerhing out of the game, all fingers crossed!!

If Brighton can get a decent goalscorer they'll be top half this season. They battered some sides last season have 25/30 efforts in a game but no one to finish the chances.

Thing is, McNeil could play like Messi and still get taken out of the game. They'll know he's our only threat and double up on him. It's easy when you play a team with one primary creative outlet.

Now if we had someone else as good as him then it would suddenly cause them a bit of a problem. So probably it will be players like Vydra and Gudmundsson that need to shine more than McNeil who inevitably will be hounded from start to finish.
