Mine arrived this morning. Right in the back corner.Jimmymaccer wrote: ↑Tue Aug 17, 2021 8:05 pmHave the tickets actually been posted out yet………paid for mine thursday night but not yet landed.
Re: 2021/22: Liverpool v Burnley – Ticket Information
More or less the same. Even though they wouldn’t be ideal, I was hoping by getting them early they’d sell from the front as I’d favour that view rather being stood under the overhang from the top tier.
Sometimes I guess it pays to wait a day or two to get more favourable tickets.

Have they sold out ?
Re: 2021/22: Liverpool v Burnley – Ticket Information
Stopped sales at 12pm today for some reason. Can’t understand why they couldn’t sell them in the ticket office until Friday.

It looks like only doing online sales for away games.
They would need to go off sale 2 days beforehand to ensure tickets were posted & arrived

Only newcastle games available online , few ticket sales lost !
Re: 2021/22: Liverpool v Burnley – Ticket Information
I just can’t fathom why they aren’t allowing walk in sales and everything needs to be done online.longside72 wrote: ↑Wed Aug 18, 2021 3:15 pmOnly newcastle games available online , few ticket sales lost !

Re: 2021/22: Liverpool v Burnley – Ticket Information
First of all this is not a moan………got all the membership points etc……….last match at Anfield applied ASAP on the points system…….tickets were the very back row……shocking view under that top tier…….this time waited until they reduced the points bit to apply hoping for better seats………tickets land literally one row in front of last time and seats 36/7……
Then general sale……………
Two thoughts…….one, most points worst seats………two clearly massive apathy at the moment…………understandably given everything……….
Bradford get 18k on a reduced price ticket policy Sheff Wed 27k, presumably just delighted to be back after closed stadiums… is footy (and everything else) at a tipping point?.
Then general sale……………

For such a big club it's very poor in this day and age they flog tickets for seats where you can't see properly if you are in the wrong place.burnmark wrote: ↑Tue Aug 17, 2021 8:58 pmMore or less the same. Yeah, the lack of interest in our first away game for 18 months isn't good.

The home team dictate the order the tickets are sold though.Jimmymaccer wrote: ↑Wed Aug 18, 2021 9:49 pmFirst of all this is not a moan………got all the membership points etc……….last match at Anfield applied ASAP on the points system…….tickets were the very back row……shocking view under that top tier…….this time waited until they reduced the points bit to apply hoping for better seats………tickets land literally one row in front of last time and seats 36/7……

If they say that they are to be sold back row to front row then that what we have to do
Re: 2021/22: Liverpool v Burnley – Ticket Information
If they have had to sell from the back and we haven't sold out, there should be empty seats further forward, so just before ko you could move down into them.Jimmymaccer wrote: ↑Wed Aug 18, 2021 9:49 pmFirst of all this is not a moan………got all the membership points etc……….last match at Anfield applied ASAP on the points system…….tickets were the very back row……shocking view under that top tier…….this time waited until they reduced the points bit to apply hoping for better seats………tickets land literally one row in front of last time and seats 36/7……

Re: 2021/22: Liverpool v Burnley – Ticket Information
Low sales shouldn't really be a surprise - Covid is still around and some people are uncomfortable being on public transport and in crowds; no tickets for the supporters clubs; tickets went on sale very very late; it's an early ko; it's live on TV and most people expect we'll get stuffed! So all in all, not really conducive to selling out! But hopefully this allows all those who have complained that they can't get tickets for the big games will have been able to purchase them.

Re: 2021/22: Liverpool v Burnley – Ticket Information
I do understand all you’ve mentioned but we’ve been without for 18 months. The amount of full home and away ends witnessed over the last couple of weeks just makes me a little jealous and wondering what we could do differently to increase the chances of us being at the same level.Leisure wrote: ↑Wed Aug 18, 2021 10:53 pmLow sales shouldn't really be a surprise - Covid is still around and some people are uncomfortable being on public transport and in crowds; no tickets for the supporters clubs; tickets went on sale very very late; it's an early ko; it's live on TV and most people expect we'll get stuffed! Hi Leisure, you've missed out that many are on holiday, many in Cornwall, based on another thread.Leisure wrote: ↑Wed Aug 18, 2021 10:53 pmLow sales shouldn't really be a surprise - Covid is still around and some people are uncomfortable being on public transport and in crowds; no tickets for the supporters clubs; tickets went on sale very very late; it's an early ko; it's live on TV and most people expect we'll get stuffed! Funny that fans expect Burnley to lose: 2 seasons ago it was 1-1 and last season Burnley won 0-1. Yes, as Sean Dyche says, "the last one doesn't owe you the next one."

I think holidays are being underestimated. I’d be very shocked if 20-25% of our normal match going fans aren’t away at the moment, given it’s mid-summer holidays and the main time that any families with young children go away.
I’m going Liverpool although, sadly, expecting defeat. I’ll be delighted with 90 minutes of defending & 0-0!

Do we have more fans that go on holiday at the start of the football season, just like we apparently have more fans that are petrified of Covid, according to some on here?

100%, i hope it tips for clubs like Barca

Those people who were complaining a few weeks ago about not being able to get tickets for their families for the big away games wont be seen on here again (or at away grounds) for quite some time.Leisure wrote: ↑Wed Aug 18, 2021 10:53 pmLow sales shouldn't really be a surprise - Covid is still around and some people are uncomfortable being on public transport and in crowds; no tickets for the supporters clubs; tickets went on sale very very late; it's an early ko; it's live on TV and most people expect we'll get stuffed! Everton away is Monday night, Live TV game so they wont want tickets for that one.
Man City away, we always get stuffed at the Etihad so they wont want tickets for that one.
Man Utd away, night game around Christmas time so they wont want tickets for that either.
But it wont stop them complaining about not being able to get a ticket for their son/daughter/wife when we are playing in the FA Cup Final at Wembley in May!

Sadly was always going to be the case, but well done on those who whinged about how unfair it was on them and then make no effort to go to the 1st away game of the season.

Match entry info
Anfield entrance info
Anfield Rd is under construction and as such there is no access to the away turnstiles from Arkles Lane (away coach park and Arkles Pub). Supporters will have to enter the park by the top end of Arkles Lane and walk down Dalia Walk (basically a footpath in the park that runs parallel with Anfield Rd). From there they will turn left onto 96th Avenue and immediate left onto Anfield Rd and the normal N, O & P turnstiles. After the end of the match they will simply reverse the process.

Park at Goodson and walk through Stanley Park or park in City centre and get the bus up to Anfield outside Lime Street.
Re: 2021/22: Liverpool v Burnley – Ticket Information
It’s mentioned as a footnote in this article. They are hardly shouting it from the rooftops though.

Re: 2021/22: Liverpool v Burnley – Ticket Information
Since the club have to pay for all unsold tickets you would think they would be trying to sell as many as possible. And why not say they would be available in person after Wednesday when the details were released? People who might not have known if they could make it until Thursday or Friday would have thought they wouldn’t have been able to get tickets after Wednesday and now may have made other plans, and even if they have not made other plans they may not know tickets are still on sale as the club aren’t really publicising it! I don’t know how anyone could defend the ticket office on this one, been a bit of a farce.

Hi fidel, this year isn't a "normal year" - it's only in the past few weeks that holidays have been possible for many, so I'm not surprised that many will be away, grabbing their holidays while they can.fidelcastro wrote: ↑Wed Aug 18, 2021 11:56 pm20-25%???

It's quieter than it's been for a long time around me - except the sports club near me seems to be full of holiday makers. It's never been that busy in August before.

I think you're missing my point. Why are fans of other clubs less likely to be away on holiday or too scared of Covid to attend these early round of games? I only ask because all the other home teams had full houses last week.Paul Waine wrote: ↑Thu Aug 19, 2021 4:27 pmHi fidel, this year isn't a "normal year" - it's only in the past few weeks that holidays have been possible for many, so I'm not surprised that many will be away, grabbing their holidays while they can.

Do you think it's got anything to do with bigger fan bases for those other clubs? So, still enough of their fans to go away on holiday, but a bigger "reserve" population among their fan bases and people living around those other clubs?fidelcastro wrote: ↑Thu Aug 19, 2021 6:12 pmI think you're missing my point. Yes, ManU had 72,000 at their game on Saturday lunchtime. What's that as a percentage of Manchester's population? What's 16,000 as a percentage of the population of Burnley?
Yes, I know that fans aren't limited to the city/town the club is in. And, yes, I know that there are two Premier League teams in Manchester (plus other smaller clubs around).
Relative fan numbers may be your answer.

Re: 2021/22: Liverpool v Burnley – Ticket Information
You’ve also got to think about the climate the club is in. Lookmat Brentford. Fans missed the promotion season, first game in their new stadium and first season in the Premier League. Lot’s of different reasons for different clubs. Ourselves, no major signings (again), treading water (again).

I see. Once everyone is back from holiday and are confident their fellow supporters have been double vaccinated, then the stadium will be full.Paul Waine wrote: ↑Thu Aug 19, 2021 6:34 pmDo you think it's got anything to do with bigger fan bases for those other clubs? Re: 2021/22: Liverpool v Burnley – Ticket Information
I think Covid was the final nail in the coffin for many fans in terms of deciding whether to renew or not. The season before the pandemic, there were quite a few season ticket holders around me, that I got to know quite well as you do who stopped attending regularly as they didn't like the entertainment on offer, fed up with VAR killing the games etc. Looking at Saturday's attendance and the fact that we've not sold an already reduced Anfield allocation, I'd say these feelings have been mirrored across the fan base. I think some fans have just got used to not attending football and have found other things to do..
