I know people bash you, but a lot of what you say is spot on. Dyche has no Plan B.

Hanging on here. We really need options from the bench. 2-3 signings' worth, though I'm sure we'd probably take 1! 2 if you add Lennon?

Very good goal from them. They get a lot of players forward, like all good teams do.

Re: Match thread vs Liverpool (A)
If our bench doesn't show our lack of options then nothing will. We're crying out for a player to bring on with pace and guile who can change the game.

Dyche and Southgate seem to have same idea re subs, they just don't use them to influence games.

That player would start for us. If we ever find ourselves with that player on the bench, we have either morphed into Man City overnite, or Lionel Messi has signed for us whilst SD is still the manager…

Re: Match thread vs Liverpool (A)
We’ve actually done ok first half especially. Just clear to see now and hopefully Pace that we need at least 5 new players. If we don’t get this in the remainder of this and the January window than we will get relegated. I’m sure of it this season

Unfortunately Liverpool have beaten us very easily
They haven’t got out of second gear all game.
Feel sorry for Dyche the squad is in a sad state of affairs

Re: Match thread vs Liverpool (A)
By the way, how many times have one or both of our strikers been offside? The three we've had on the field are too similar...we need to be able to mix it up with Vydra. Not sure there's much point putting the kids on the bench if there's zero intention of using them. Assume we have literally no senior players left???

If it ends 2-0, with an Ok-ish performance, I'll be reasonably happy. grounds for optimism or pessimism, depending on your preference...

It's crazy to give dyche stick regarding subs, if we were playing a mid-table championship side the players on the bench would not influence the result hugely!

3 chances in the last 3 minutes. All wasted
Re: Match thread vs Liverpool (A)
Decent performance. Shame about the result and that we didn't take a couple of the very good chances we've had both halves.

Re: Match thread vs Liverpool (A)
I'm sick to the back teeth of the previous regime in the latter years and this current bunch of snake oil salesmen denying the manager funds to invest in the team to make watching Burnley more enjoyable, hoarding cash in the bank ,paying millions in interest results in our weak bench and weak aging team.

Re: Match thread vs Liverpool (A)
They deserved criticism after the Brighton game, but if you can seriously criticise this performance then give your head a wobble.
Much better performance, matched them for lots of the game. Created chances and shots on target. Liverpool fans I know were worried until the second goal, went in.
Yes, they have more quality than us but that is a given. Play like this every week and we will beat teams around us. And if we get a couple of quality additions we will be more than ok.
Keep it real, UTC!!!

Excellent performance-we died a bit second half, but wow we were up against a very good and very expensive team. We made enough chances to score at least two and defended brilliantly. The only frustration is we are not that savvy at staying on side.Good result

A good performance but I think Liverpool’s quality always looked like they could score. If we will play like this every week we will be fine, our season is never really defined against Liverpool and their like.

Not a bad overall performance, they were clinical when they had to be, but it’s glaringly obvious we need strengthening in midfield with more creativity. Let’s hope the board and management are working on this.

Feel a lot more positive after this match than I did last week, Liverpool are quality and it showed but be under no illusion a great team, workmanlike performance from our boys, more performances like that will win us matches against lesser teams than L/pool. Well done boys UTC

Re: Match thread vs Liverpool (A)
Well I enjoyed it; if you're going to lose, then that's the way to do it, trying hard to beat one of the best teams in the world.
I thought most of the players performed beyond my expectations of them - Given that he was facing Salah, I thought that Charlie Tayloer was outstanding! - and this week for a change, Sean Dyche replaced the two players who were our least effective

Decent performance but with this current squad we will be relegated. 3 kids and 2 keepers on the bench says it all. I am getting more worried by the day about our new owners. It’s like watching Joe Biden trying to run a country!!!

And which of the subs were going to influence that game? One of the two goalies maybe? We haven't got a bench and not had one for a long time where anyone can affect a game. Get real.

Re: Match thread vs Liverpool (A)
Fair result, proud of our performance.
Today, v Brighton and all pre season, out conversion rate has been poor. We waste some really good chances. If we could start taking even a few of them it would drastically alter the outlook.
