What's his favourite position 69 or doggie?
Re: Summer 2021 Transfer Window Rumours - Links - Discussion
I really hope he chooses Burnley. He'd be a great asset for us.

Damn!!! Shame we don’t have any physical strikers.Hapag Lloyd wrote: ↑Mon Aug 30, 2021 8:41 pm“Charlie Christie, who had a spell at Celtic in the 1980s, claims that his son likes playing in a ‘number 10 role’, ideally off a physical striker”

Sure it's Ryan and not the Fulham one? We have been rumoured to be in for both.

Re: Summer 2021 Transfer Window Rumours - Links - Discussion
If he likes a number 10 role then surely he could easily be accommodated in a front 2, playing behind Wood, as seen as we are struggling for goal scorers for the last year at least.

If he is that friendly with Armstrong he can buy his house of him in Rawtenstall, it went on the market last week for a million
Re: Summer 2021 Transfer Window Rumours - Links - Discussion
Bourne look slap bang average from what I’ve seen of them. Poor move for him.

He means Stuart
Re: Summer 2021 Transfer Window Rumours - Links - Discussion
If he wants to move more than double the distance away from his family, take less money play in a lower league and play infront of crowds of under 10k then good luck to him, but to me it shows lack of self belief or ambition but if the stories are b/s and he comes to us and fights for a place in the starting xl then welcome to Burnley

He came on as a sub for Armstrong when he made his Celtic debut
Re: Summer 2021 Transfer Window Rumours - Links - Discussion
That's a good fact. Sounds like it's been lifted from an article of some sort.ClaretTony wrote: ↑Mon Aug 30, 2021 8:53 pmHe came on as a sub for Armstrong when he made his Celtic debut

Re: Summer 2021 Transfer Window Rumours - Links - Discussion
I’d be stunned at anyone who cares about their career going to Bournemouth ahead of a Premier League club. There are absolutely no guarantees of promotion there, in a years time he could very easily be sat looking forward to another year of games against Preston and Barnsley.
My thoughts? He’s coming to Burnley, but his agent possibly intimating via the media such as Nixon that he’s more up for Bournemouth. A last ditch effort to get some more brass out of us perhaps.

Christie turns us down for Championship
It’s just been confirmed on talkSPORT he’s rejected us for Bournemouth.
Very frustrating indeed.

I watched the old firm derby at the weekend and I wouldn't pay any of them with washes, non of them look to have anyone capable of playing above championship level

Wasn't it rumoured he was after massive wages if he moved now, due to being free shortly?

Re: Summer 2021 Transfer Window Rumours - Links - Discussion
You'd hope the lure of PL football would be enough to sway Ryan Christie, plus we've apparently offered higher wages than Bournemouth, yes they might win promotion, and equally we might suffer relegation, but as it stands RC is taking a mighty risk in opting for the Cherries over the Clarets.
We can offer him the chance to showcase his talents on the biggest stage available, whereas Bournemouth face the prospect of a hard slog in the Championship, with no guarantee of a return to the big time, however it's ultimately up to the player who he prefers, but if we could land him on top of Cornet, that really would cap off a fantastic window, and assuming nobody leaves that would be probably our best window since 2017.

Re: Christie turns us down for Championship
Not sure why it’s frustrating. If he doesn’t want to come here why would we want him. There’d be no point wanting Messi or Ronaldo for the same reason. Let him get overpaid by Bournemouth at a lower level.

Re: Christie turns us down for Championship
No probs.
If a player who is PL standard turns us down the OK, I get it.
Christie is nothing like proven Pl standard, he may well develop into that with B'mouth, but not what we need.
My guess is he would have been in if we hadn't signed Cornet.
Re: Summer 2021 Transfer Window Rumours - Links - Discussion
I don't buy all this "they are welcome to him" business. If we've agreed a fee we clearly wanted him so they are not welcome to him.

Probably best if you can’t cope with someone not being frustrated by something that frustrates you!!!helmclaret wrote: ↑Mon Aug 30, 2021 9:02 pmWon’t post anything else. It’s clear you aren’t allowed your on views on here.

Pretty sure CT said Lookman wasn’t on the list.
And is it true about Christie?

I think, should we get turned down for a Championship club, it’s mainly due to our known or perceived playing style/image.

If he's opted for Bournemouth over us then it's simply for more brass.
... And probably not that much more brass at that.
Can't say I'm arsed.

Nixon thinks he'd get more here, yet he's chosen Bournemouth.
I'm arsed.

Re: Summer 2021 Transfer Window Rumours - Links - Discussion
I can’t say I’ve seen much of Christie but if he’s winger/number 10 then I’d think McNeil would be sold to accommodate him. We don’t need another winger.

Now, now Tony....nowt wrong with Rawtenstall, it's the new Manchester !
