As much as I love Phil Oakley, who has delivered some stonkers of awful lyrics down the years, I have to vote for;
Dehumanisation is a very long word.
It’s been around since…
…Richard the Third

That is a fantastic tune,the lyrics are barmy but it's a fantastic song especially the Donna Summer version

This lyric is like fingernails down a blackboard. When the song comes on the radio, I’m reaching for the off button.Silkyskills1 wrote: ↑Thu Sep 09, 2021 8:59 pmAs sure as Kilimanjaro rises like Olympus above the Serengeti. Africa by Toto
Who is Phil Oakley?
Quite like that line - fits in well with the song (which is a banger, let’s have it right) and a sort of detached way of calling somebody out.Wile E Coyote wrote: ↑Thu Sep 09, 2021 10:52 pm"Respectfully I say to Thee" from Upside Down lyrics from Diana Ross.

Was going to contribute that line from Toto - Africa but it seems somebody already has. One of my least favourite songs of all time.
I saw All Saints at Car Fest South 2 weekends ago. They were actually quite good and are still very easy on the eye.
Very good singers and good looking girls but terrible lyrics.Herts Clarets wrote: ↑Fri Sep 10, 2021 3:22 pmI saw All Saints at Car Fest South 2 weekends ago. They were actually quite good and are still very easy on the eye.
Don't know where the extra 'l' came from
Marvelous song. End of.
You have to understand stream of concious lyrics to even begin to understand this. They are meant to compliment the music. The lyrics are less important than the vocal performance, which is phenomenal.Conroysleftfoot wrote: ↑Fri Sep 10, 2021 10:14 amA seasoned witch could call you from the depths of your disgrace and rearrange your liver to the solid metal grace.
