What an idiotic post , supporters will moan when their team lose , get over it
Moaning when we're on a bad run I can understand, but some posters almost seem to revel in our defeats.
As many of the more considered contributors have been pointing out generally our performances have been decent with little reward, mainly due to us shooting ourselves in the foot when in winning positions.
Thankfully we took advantage of Brentford's failings, and had the points wrapped up by HT, now we've finally got the weight of chasing our 1st PL win off our backs hopefully the lads can relax and start showing the form we all know they're capable of displaying at this level.

We have been so close in a few games. I still don't understand the VAR decision for Krul on Vyds. We've been unlucky in others but today, we were brilliant.
I can see why we get upset. I get why we demand more and whine but we also need to keep things in perspective. We will probably be there and there abouts, again, at the end of the season.
PTN will miss a lot of events to cheer and moan about. That's life as a football fan. Surely, we all know that by now!

Until this dreadful hoofball stops.
We need a massive squad revamp ASAP the players we have aren’t good enough to play the system we try to play anymore, we have an ageing squad with players who can’t compete at this level anymore, last night was terrible we looked like a league 2 side at best.
There’s no doubt about it we will be in the Championship next season.
A full squad revamp and a change of style is needed. Fans can’t take this no more hence the decline in attendances.
This isn’t an over reaction it’s the truth. Anyone who says we don’t play hoofball is deluded the stats prove it.

its not just Burnley, there'll be plenty of utd and arsenal fans quickly putting all the negative comments behind them. that's what fickle means.
I understand though, its an emotive game, and fans get frustrated.
there was a frenzied media storm to discredit arteta and Ole, but it only takes a good win and a move up the table to quash all the criticism.

First game i've seen us win live since Feb 2020, absolutely loving it. When times are bad, stick with it, and you savour the good times so much more. It's part of being a football supporter

I have a certain amount of admiration for the OP as personally I wouldn’t admit to being a quitter and a fair weather fan not even anonymously.
However I do take exception to advising people to support another club whilst there are still acres of empty seats at TM. The ground looks much better when it’s full even with some of the ballsaching moaners who pass for “supporters” . I appreciate that not everyone can attain a state of Nirvana the moment they pass through the turnstile.

I don't know what's sadder - the original post, or pulling it back up after 2 wins in 25 games to do the whole "told you so" routine after a home win against a promoted side

After missing so much football due to the pandemic I would hope not many would take for granted being able to go on the Turf. It's been great to be back on matches even with the start we've had. Yesterday was fantastic to witness a live win for the first time in a very long time. In the Cricket Field the atmosphere was superb with plenty of younger fans enjoying the occasion (maybe without drugs or violence) and to see the players celebrating each goal in front of us for a change was something else.I'm still buzzing this morning and all the stresses of everyday life have temporarily vanished. Sorry PTN but I wouldn't have missed it for the world.

So i went against everything I said and decided to give it one more chance and it’s the best choice I have made for a while.
I haven’t enjoyed a half of football like I did the first half for ages. I thought there was a real togetherness something I feel has been missing for a while. The early goal is just what was needed the whole place had a good vibe about it. To a man each one of the lads gave it all, I thought Lowton and Ben Mee we’re both another level. We played some good football ON THE FLOOR. Brentford couldn’t deal with us. Second half was boring as hell but we had the game won so didn’t expect nothing less.
We have a very decent 11 on our day but the squad needs big improvements we are a few injuries away from being a poor side.
Credit to Sean all the staff and the players. We needed that yesterday and I’m glad I didn’t stay away. Hopefully more of the same.

So soon after you said you would never go on the Turf again then you went on....I wouldn't have admitted that you went on the very next game
Big mistake.... better to just say nothing...just saying

Just goes to show "think before you speak out loud" lad, you have had pelters for your OP ... & you will probably get pelters for your retraction.
We are Burnley fans ... we hate the "downs" and love the "ups" and lets face it the past 9 years the "ups" have definitely outweighed the "downs" under Sean Mark Dyche. Yes he is bloody frustrating at times in team selections, occasionally in tactics, definitely in timing of substitutions, but eff8n hell buddy we have a great manager for our "Little old Burnley"...
But this obsession with some and calling it "hoofball" does not cut it with me ... as shown yesterday in the 1st half we mixed it up and Brentford could not live with us.....
I missed the match and wish I could have been there cheering our boys on. But rest assured I will be there on the 20th next month watching us hopefully put Palarse to the sword ... waving my scarf with pride at a team we love through thick (no pun intended) and thin

Been a funny old season played Brighton off the park for 70 mins are so and got done, Leeds -Arsenal and Liverpool deserved more than a point from them.Everton puzzled me best team by far for 60 mins then through it away in a mad period but suppose that happens once a season.I personally have been banging on to friend’s etc that we will get it right performances have been good especially with cornet now he’s something else. One poster put on here after the Spurs defeat that Brentford would thrash us I mean come on! Another put that we are knackered because Newcastle are too good to go down they could be well behind come January till all the cash comes in hopefully.real win get next week out of the way and we have a good run of fixtures then.

It was quite enjoyable despite losing. Its one of the most farcical games Ive ever seen and we had a few that season with players like Branch, West and McGregor taking turns at playing centre half.
The season before when we had Gazza was far worse
