We did okay going forwards, but unusually we looked shaky at the back. Good job Ronaldo and United missed a few good chances.

Anyone else have to mute halftime
Re: Man Utd v the Clarets - match thread
Who is playing alongside Cork in midfield?
Re: Man Utd v the Clarets - match thread
Mee giving United a helping toe ready for his move to the Toon.

Why do you troll so much? It’s not clever, we can all see right through it and it devalues this forum.Newcastleclaret93 wrote: ↑Thu Dec 30, 2021 9:08 pmWe should be five down. Ronaldo has missed two sitters

Just because I’m not kissing Dyches arse after we get pummelled weak in weak out
Re: Man Utd v the Clarets - match thread
I’m actually pleased with the performance.
1st goal was slightly deflected
2nd was own goal and unlucky
3rd was again pure luck that the ball came back to Ronaldo (Cavanni was offside had it dropped to him instead)
And Lennon found that goal from nowhere and we’ve had some good opportunities. Feeling positive for the rest of the season if we can just eliminate the fine margins against and find them for us

Pummeled. How many draws? I'm not saying it's great but you and a couple of others ruin this site. You may think it's smart or clever, I really don't know. What I do know is that it's just not interesting or amusing.Newcastleclaret93 wrote: ↑Thu Dec 30, 2021 9:11 pmHow is that trolling? It’s a fact, Ronaldo missed two sitters.

Because it's easier to just troll on here rather than actually attend?

Re: Man Utd v the Clarets - match thread
Get Collins on in a back 3 ( Cork off) Give full backs license to get forward. United look weak at the back. Get an early goal and who knows. There again concede first and it could be any score
Re: Man Utd v the Clarets - match thread
We've also missed a couple of chances of our own. 3-1 and we're still in it. If we can keep it tight and nick another...Newcastleclaret93 wrote: ↑Thu Dec 30, 2021 9:11 pmHow is that trolling? It’s a fact, Ronaldo missed two sitters.

Re: Man Utd v the Clarets - match thread
I feel we deserve to be level at half time but we have had typical (of this season) doziness at both ends. That Wood header, defensive collisions, poor blocks etc.
We’ve played well on the whole but that is our season in a nutshell. Big effort second half and miracles can happen.

You’re ruining threads by trying to be a Poundland Devils Advocate and it’s just so tiring and the reason I don’t join the discussion much these days.

If everyone had the same opinion this board would incredibly boring.
Everyone just praising the owners and Dyche.

You were literally implying the referees were saying United were onside and ours was offside. They literally use technology there’s no bias.

Until we get a centre forward and centre midfielder with pace we'll continue to struggle.

Re: Man Utd v the Clarets - match thread
Pummelled? if we lose tonight we'll have lost 3 in 11, at both Manchester clubs and Newcastle, now the latter I admit was a poor display, but we're hardly getting pummelled every week, and we are still only 1 win away from climbing out of the relegation zone, so hardly a disaster as you and others keep making out.Newcastleclaret93 wrote: ↑Thu Dec 30, 2021 9:11 pmHow is that trolling? Re: Man Utd v the Clarets - match thread
We could have done better with their first goal, but the second two where more unfortunate than outright gifts. The second one was deflected off the foot of Mee and the third was deflected off the post. Bad luck elements in both. However, they did fluff some good chances ( as did we ).Superjohnnyfrancis wrote: ↑Thu Dec 30, 2021 9:13 pmNice goal from Lennon, shame we have given them two easy goals though
Not great, but not bad and the score line is a touch flattering for Man Utd.
Enjoyed the goal by Lennon, very clever and very well taken.

Ronaldo is definitely morphing into Dale Winton.

Did Cavani not “control” that with his arm?
Does it only “count” if it leads to a goal
